Carrie Prejean, Miss California, Cancels Larry King Appearance

Questions are swirling about why Miss California Carrie Prejean canceled her appearance on Thursday night's "Larry King Live."

CNN reps declined comment to Huffington Post on Prejean's cancellation. King, at the top of his show, announced that Prejean had canceled.

"Late this afternoon, she canceled her appearance," said King without providing further explanation.

Paula Shugart, the president of the Miss Universe Organization, told King that Prejean was simply exhausted from traveling too much in recent days.

TMZ.com is reporting that Prejean was too busy partying and celebrating her 22nd birthday on Wednesday night:

Carrie celebrated her 22nd birthday in Atlanta last night. She was scheduled to do Larry's show tonight in L.A., but her people called hours ago and said Carrie had a birthday party last night and she was really tired and took a flight that put the airhead in the air at the time Larry airs.

Prejean is scheduled to be a one-day guest host on "Fox & Friends" on May 27, reports US News & World Report.
