Sorry, but Gary Meier is as stupid and annoying now as he was in the eighties. He is mean spirited. As soon as I hear him on WGN, I switch stations.
WGN is going to change all right. It's going to change into a station that I won't listen to. And that will be a shame after twenty years of listening to Bob Collins, Spike O'Dell, Kathy and Judy, and the other intelligent show hosts.

In comparison to Meier, Bob Collin's dog Booger was smart.
Since Zell took over the Trib it has gone down the tubes big time. I wonder if the previous owners are watching how their family owned business is now mud? I listen to WGN because I can't stand listening to WLS except on Sunday when Bob Brinker is on. WLS on the weekend has infomercial-type shows that promote convoluted investment schemes, but Brinker brings sanity to the money scene.
If WGN goes extreme right like WLS, then I'll have to switch again, probably to WBBM for talk.
If they already have Gary Meier, they should try to pick up Steve Dahl.
Move to the left. It pays.
Unfortunately, the Tribune company is run by Wingnuts.
They'd cut off their arms before they'd give a liberal a radio show.
