Boehner On Obama's Color Jab: "You Only Tease The Ones You Love" (VIDEO)

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) offered an almost suspiciously elaborate explanation for his fab tan on Sunday. President Obama had mocked Boehner for his orange hue at the White House Correspondents Association dinner, saying, "We have a lot in common. He is a person of color."

Asked to respond to the jab on CNN's "State of the Union" this weekend, Boehner said, "You only tease the ones you love."

Then, in as casual a fashion as possible, Boehner mentioned some outdoor activities he favors.

"If the president wants to go out and take a walk with me as I do every day," Boehner said. "I walked 18 holes yesterday. Last weekend I was in Ohio cutting my grass, trimming my beds. I enjoy being outside."

I found it richly ironic that our black skinned president made a joke about a white guy's skin color on national TV. I am surprised there is not more manufactured outrage at the so-called reverse racism.

He couldn't tell the truth. He'd be more of a laughing stock. That color is fake bake, tropical, or out of a bottle. That shade of orange can't be had in the Northern Hemisphere. Or carotene pellets.

It's amazing that he doesn't have any tan lines around his sunglasses, often worn during outside activity. Also, does he play golf in the snow, because his tan is all year-round?

He has too even of a tan to be the product of a love of the outdoors. I just hope he read the medical warnings on his tanning beds when they were installed.

Well, its not exactly fair to the Orangeutan to compare him to his pallid Democratic counterparts, now is it? I mean, after all, they have things to do, prepare health care legislation, pass the budget, pass the stimulus package, investigate the prior administration, etc. They are busy folks.

What has Boehner had to do in the past couple of months? Call one or two press conferences, prepare a seven page counter-budget proposal with all the numbers columns marked "to be determined later" and just say no. Is it his fault his dance card is empty? ;D
