I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel graces the June cover of Allure magazine, and inside she talks about boyfriend Justin Timberlake, marriage, and the cons of being so hot.

Biel, 27 says she wants a career like Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman, and that she struggles to get desirable parts:

"I'm in there with everybody else, fighting for the good parts. Yes, 'The Illusionist' has made a difference -- but a huge, massive difference, so I can pick and choose what I want? No."

She continues, "I just want an opportunity. If you don't like the audition, don't hire me! But if you don't want to even see me -- that's hurtful. And why? You know nothing about me!"

So are her good looks hurting? "It really is a problem," she says. "I have to be blunt."

As for her personal life, she isn't sure about marriage. "I have no idea if I want to get married. I have a lot to do, career-wise."

And she talks about dating Timberlake. "I mean, you love who you love! It's not like you meet somebody one day and say, 'OK, I'm not going to put up with his fame!' or 'Yes, I am going to put up with his celebrity,'" she says. "You can't choose that. It just happens to you."

AHA MOMENT ALERT... now I understand why Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson are all out of work.

I still can't believe how serious these folks take themselves.

**snort** Yeah, almost all the women I know work at being unattractive. They don't use cosmetics, they don't do their hair or wear pretty clothes. Beauty is such a handicap in this world that only values you for your mind.

Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!

Dear Girl. you are not more beautiful than Oscar winner Angelina Jolie, Oscar winner Halle Barry, Natalie Portman or Scareltte. The ability to act, excellence and humiltiy got these 'Natural Beauties' great roles.
Get over it! You are not that beautiful.

LOL this person has had so much plastic surgery (all over her body, including her face) that she doesn't look anything like the very plain, nondescript person she started out as. Ask yourself - does a woman who grew up as a natural beauty have the body language and dull facial self-expression that this woman does? No. Her recent statements about her beauty crippling her career are so laughable I just don't know where to begin, other than to say she sounds exactly like a typical "background performer" (otherwise known as an Extra) who blames their utter lack of talent and star-power on their "beauty". I normally am not prone to being hostile to people, but I've seen this woman about town and she is NOT beautiful in person - she appears so average that she is dull - and she utterly lacks any personal radiation that most stars have - why they are called "stars"!

she's beautiful but can she act. it's all about acting, baby, not beauty. beauty can get you an audition but it does not get you the roles, acting does.

Hey if thats the problem, stop using them cosmetics and creams, or heck, throw some acid on there, that'll take care of that problem babe.

Her problem isn't that she is too beautiful. It is that she is a fairly standard type of beauty. She doesn't have that unique quality that most great actresses have...she looks more like your standard issue beauty queen.

You know, I just looked at the magazine cover in this article and she actually doesn't look pretty at all. Her problem isn't beauty, because she really doesn't have it, it's her lack of talent. At best she's a mediocre actress. I think this is poor judgement, on her part, to have posted this.

She might have just nailed her own coffin. Not a smart move!

I hope she now knows that if she ever had a chance, I think she just lost it. Hollywood hates desperate, whiney people.

This woman is a joke! I just lost all respect for her.

I can appreciate what she is saying, but she is hardly anywhere near Portman in the talent department. Maybe she would be taken more seriously if she started to do some theater, and learn more about the craft of acting if she hasn't already.

If you looked as good as Jessica (a minimum in a business which trades on good looks) and feel you can't get work because of your looks, then yeah, you're going to be bitter and angry. With justification. It's not your typical problem, but imagine a civil engineer who can't work because he's too good at figuring out solutions.

There is no way her looks are getting in her way. There are a whole slew of actresses that are gorgeous and have won academy awards. Look at Penelope Cruz, she is stunning and a brilliant actor. Charlize Theron, Julia Roberts, Hillary Swank (got two), and many more. I don't think she should confuse being good-looking with not being able to handle a character that has some real depth. It just doesn't seem she has what it takes.
