I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Sean Hannity had a very lively interview with former Governor Jesse Ventura, in which Hannity claimed that Bush "inherited the negative impact of 9/11." It's difficult to inherit something that happened roughly nine months after you have been in office, and Hannity's statement led to him being named the "Worse" on Countdown's "Worst Persons in the World."

Tucker Carlson was the "Worser" and GOP Rep Joe Barton was the "Worst." Watch it below.

It is good to give credit where credit is due. If people insist on repeating falsehoods, they should be acknowledged for truth's sake.

I guess it is ironic that while Olbermann was busy mentioning Hannity, millions more people were watcfhing Fox News where Hannity was featured.

That's not irony. Buy a dictionary.

So? As was mentioned earlier, more people watched "The Beverly Hillbillies" than works of Shakespeare on television, so unless you believe that the Clampetts brought as much to our culture as, say, "Hamlet," then what you're left with is proof that popularity has nothing to do with quality.

Of course Hannity was the worse - it was Tues - and it was his turn in the rotation.

It would be news if someone from Fox WASN'T on the WPithW list!
Olbermann is just SO jealous of their ratings. And what's worse, he always is talking about Fox, but they just IGNORE him.

Look, if they keep lying, he'll keep calling them out. That's part of the job.

I don't think Keith is jealous of the ratings. He is just amazed that there are that many gullible, not too smart people in this country that would even want to watch Fox News. He goes out of his way to check the facts and has proven Fox wrong numerous times. I think he is brilliant.

Huge news. I wonder if he'll ever put Bill ORellly on that list.

Um, wouldn't it be more newsworthy if he DIDN'T make Olbermann's list some night?

Olbermann should create a permanent worst wing (pun intended).

Not sure this makes him the worst person in the world, but it certainly doesn't make him the smartest!

I think Rush should be the worst, and he didn't even get a mention??

Rush has a category of worst all to himself.

My money's on the progressive left; with insightful, well reasoned and accurate reporting of the right's hypocrisies. The right simply throws slanderous mud without regard for facts or accuracy en mass and they hope enough sticks to confuse any issue and break them down to dumb talking points.

Muddle the argument and thus win by default = the GOP and all their talking heads. Why do you think they are having such a hard time regrouping after the losses of 2006 and 2008? With all the infighting and the consistent apologies to Limbaugh all they have left are finger pointing and lies. They solicited the votes and grass root rhetoric of the evangelicals and garnered some momentum but out of steam they now are.

Thanks to Olbermann, Maddow and others we can now cite examples of the rights fallacies and make more informed decisions, unlike Faux News.

It's like all of MSNBC is fixated on faux. That's all they talk about ... Faux never mentions MSNBC. Billy O indirectly trashes MSNBC by hammering GE but that is it. Maybe KO needs to find another topic -- one that will get him some viewers... (other than h uff p osters) goodness knows his rating s uck.

Olbermann is just the pony show the MSNBC exec's were looking for to compete w/ Fox.

Now they have a two-trick pony show in Olbmermann/Maddow.

And we have less real news.

Funny, I get more understanding and critical insight from Olbermann, Maddow, Stewart and Colbert than anything at fixed news.

Stewart, yes, unfortunately.

He really bore the brunt of the work during the Jim Cramer/executive pay fiasco, and asked the tough questions that "real" journalists never bothered with.

But Stewart and Colbert are different. Much of it is good, scathing humor. But it is what it is. It's Comedy Central. It's still News Light, and is not going to do the job that the news networks /should/ be doing.

The only place left anymore to get good comprehensive coverage of the world besides print (the print that's still around, that is) is NPR.

My main source also, NPR. So how come when I've done my NPR fix I then go to MSNBC for the in depth explanations. Olbermann is a kick and Maddow gathers it all up and ties with a ribbon. NPR, by its very nature just cannot do the whole job. You really have to widen your net if your to get the full scope of things.

To finish things off I also turn to the fact check sites for further clarification.

Why does HP keep mentioning Countdown's "Worst Persons In The World" lists as if they matter? Olbermann is just a man who gets a perverse pleasure in pointing out evils of which we are already full aware.

If just one person who watches the show and gets what is REALLY going on then it worth the post and watching Keith. Are u getting confused with OLD'Reilly when using the word "perverse"?

If we are aware of all these evils, then why are we not doing anything about them? That is the reason why Stewart, Colbert, Olbermann and Maddow half to keep at it. If they don't then the people will fall asleep again.

I used to think S.H. was passionate but woefully naive hot dog for the right. Now I'm not convinced that he's so committed. I think he sees his gig as one high-profile and lucrative game. The fact that he won't submit himself to water boarding--not even for charity--reveals how little invested he is.
