Swine Flu: Illinois Confirms 707 Cases, 519 In Chicago Area

Illinois has 707 confirmed cases of swine flu, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. The bulk of those cases are from the Chicago region, with 519 in Cook County.

The latest numbers, updated Tuesday at 10 a.m., show a jump of 153 cases -- a 26 percent increase -- statewide since last week. The 113 new confirmed cases in Chicago and Cook County represent almost a 28 percent increase.
