CHICAGO (AP) -- The U.S. Postal Service will cease round-the-clock service at its last 24-hour post office windows in the country, located in downtown Chicago.

Officials with the U.S. Postal Service say they don't have enough customers to justify keeping the post office staffed all night with tellers.

They say they'll switch over June 6.

The Chicago location became the last 24-hour post office on May 9. That's when a 24-hour post office in New York stopped its all-day, all-night service.

The Chicago location will now be open from 7:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. There still will be automated kiosks available in the lobby.

This is simply not true. The Minneapolis-St. Paul international airport (MSP) has a 24-hour post office, still open for business.
