Lynn Vincent: Palin Chooses Evangelical Magazine Editor To Co-Write Memoir

HarperCollins announced Thursday that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has chosen the editor of an Evangelical magazine to help write her memoir.

Lynn Vincent is the features editor for WORLD magazine.

"Lynn has been WORLD's best writer of action stories ranging from shots fired in a Texas church to raging fires on California hillsides," said WORLD Editor in Chief Marvin Olasky. "She combines guts and grace, as does Sarah Palin, so the book should be outstanding."

Vincent co-wrote the book "Donkey Cons: Sex, Crime, and Corruption in the Democratic Party" with conservative author Robert Stacy McCain. She collaborated on the memoirs of art dealer Ron Hall, scandalized Christian singer Michael English, former terrorist Kamal Saleem, and Delta Force veteran Jerry Boykin.

Palin spoke to the Associated Press last week after the bookdeal was announced:

"There's been so much written about and spoken about in the mainstream media and in the anonymous blogosphere world, that this will be a wonderful, refreshing chance for me to get to tell my story, that a lot of people have asked about, unfiltered."

Palin's memoir will be co-released by HarperCollins and Zondervan, HarperCollins's Christian market publishing arm.

There's an awful lot of incredibly verbose self-important bloggers on both those sites who apparently consider themselve "serious authors" -- some of the blog entries are 2,000 words long or more -- and they even use big words once in a while (they called the Anchorage newspaper "hebetudinous" -- oooo, big word alert, tell HarperCollins!)

Sarah Palin has not earned anything. She will make money because she is a trainwreck. If she were worth so much, she would already be selling up merchandise left and right, with her name, or face on it, like the Obamas are doing. But she's not. She tries to play the "hard-working, middle America" culture warfare games, yet she herself is becoming more and more elitist, with that multi-million dollar book deal, and all.

Wishful thinking. I heard a few months ago on t.v., that magazines with her on the cover do not even sell well, and pro-palin books already out, don't even sell well. Whether her book sells or not, she will never be worth as much as the Obamas who are already making people a lot of money. I bet people would pay waaaay more money to read about what President Obama (who has been quiet) really thinks about Sarah Palin.

It is interesting to note that there is already an authorised biography for Sarah Palin on the market, written by Kaylene Johnson. This book is a big pile of garbage, but was meant to be serious. The interesting fact is that at first, the writer Amanda Coyne was supposed to be hired to write the biography. However, after having started to do research for the book, she turned the contract down and declined to write the biography. In this interview, she explains her reasons:

Sunday: go to church, speak in tongues, laugh with my fellow worshippers about the wierd things southerners talk about, like "climate change", and "health care", and "education" for people. Like those things are important!! We did share a good chuckle about that and we all know that God has told us that these things are not important; what's important is that homosexuality is an abomonation to god, and that women should not be allowed to have abortions. Nothing else is really important like all these bleeding heart liberals would have you believe.

Saturday: I read a book and a magazine. Those uppity reporters aren't hoing to get me on this one again. I read Curious George (I saw somewhere that I'm supposed to be "intellectually curious" whatever that means, so I figger this will help, and I read part of Bristol's "Seventeen" magazine. Whew, I can hardly wait to get that question again I'll be so ready!
Not sure what I'll do for the weekend - maybe huntin' just so I can put another head on my wall. I feel I need to shoot something - haven't even used my gun (luv mah gun, LOVES mah gun) since that wolf thing on Monday. Thursday: This was a really good day. There was this girl who was brutally raped, and I told her she could not have an abortion. Oh, I also gave her a bill for the rape kit. The nerve of this girl, thinking my taxpayers will pay for her to have a rape kit. Not like they robbed her or something!
Friday: Saw a plane, I'm sure it's the Russians. I waved at them, and I'm pretty sure they waved back. You can tell a lot about foreign policy by doing this over and over. I've been doing it all my life and those liberals say that I don't know about other countries like that one we're at war with - what's that again? Oh yeah, I meant Iran. Iraq? Sorry, it's Iraq. But we're there to spread christianity and democracy and also to have victory.

Monday: shot a wolf from a plain (enjoyed see his pain, his screaming, trying to run from a plane)

Tuesday: Burned some books! Got some good ones. Huck Finn, Gone with the Wind, and Jane Eyre. I just know there are n*ggers and maybe sex in those books. I feel good about myself today.

Wednesday: I told a little white lie about the bridge to nowhere - but whose gonna check anyway?

Thursday: Oops, they found out about the bridge to nowhere. If I REPEAT the lie a bunch of times, that will then make it true. And I'll wink until they think I have an eyelash in my eye because in the political world that drives the point home.
