Larry King appeared on "The Daily Show" Thursday night to promote his memoir, My Remarkable Journey.

Highlights of the interview include Jon Stewart and King arguing over whether the CNN host is a "degenerate," King describing himself as "unfeared" (where he meant "fearless"), and an exchange which ended with Stewart jumping out of his seat laughing and declaring "one of my favorite answers of all time."

So interesting to read the various takes on the show. I for one never enjoyed Larry King more. I felt I saw a side of him that was real....and humorous....able to take some good digging and dish one as well.
They should do stand up together.

Relatively fun interview, but King is far out overprimed on advertising his book, he seems actually anxious to stress one more time how good he thinks it is.

If you mean he's the King of Softball, Meaningless, Ingratiating Questions, then yes - Larry rules.

That kind of, but not really, made up for Stewart's incredibly lame interview with Newt Gingritch earlier in the week.

Which are words I have never ever put together before.

John Stewart and lame.

Frankly I wonder how this man ever became a radio host. He is totally boring. He asks the most obvious questions. He has no rapport with animals when Jack Hanna is on. He's an old fraud. Retire already!

Totally agree. Seems it's true, he was in the right place at the right time and it didn't have to do with any more so of talented interviewing skills.

We like watching Larry King at our house. He has important guests and he is polite always to them. They talk like old friends.

That Larry King is King of Talk TV is an indication of the fact that Tv is an entertainment medium for mediocrity.

When anybody with average intelligence and the right breaks can do what he does and be called King of something, then there is hope for the inept of the world. Only in America can someone with so little talent or charisma become famous and wealthy.Amazing.

Yes, and Larry King is the first to admit that he has experienced an incredible amount of luck to have gotten where he is. I have heard him say that on more than one occasion. Your comment smacks of elitism, Jeffrey. You act like regular people have nothing to contribute to society.

If there is one thing I truely and deeply believe will save america it is humor. We all need to laugh more. And seeing these two have at it with both the ability to laugh and still - and BECAUSE of that be more respectable than any politician or businessman in the book, makes me feel there IS something worth saving here.

My favorite Larry King momemnt was when he asked Seinfeld whether he quit TV or was cancelled & the reaction on Seinfeld's face. LOL! Just goes to show that when you leave a job, people assume you must have failed. No one remembers why.

Yes, and that was the thin-skinned moment I first realized what a tool Seinfeld is.

Actually ,when LK is not on his creepy topic, some other times it is not bad. I would rather borrow his book from the library than Edwards.....never buy, though.

Sorry, I just don't get the fawninig over Larry King, the worst talk show host on TV today.

Once he had Bob Barker on his show (former host of Price is Right.) Topic turned to Barker's past legal problems with several models on the show and allegations of sexual harrassment. King asked Barker what his wife thought of the allegations. The camera caught a stunned Barker, eyes widened, jaw dropped, telling King he is a widower, his wife having died 10 years ago. Wow! Talk about not doing your homework.

Another time he had Eric Clapton in a rare live full hour interview. I watched thinking I was going to learn about the early days of British blues, Mayall, break up of Cream, Patti Harrison, etc.

Basically, it was an hour of "so, you play the guitar?"

Pathetic.

Not unusual with Larry.

remember Seinfeld ask him, "Do you know who I am?"

Yes, you're right. He hardly ever seems to have done even basic homework. And never a meaningful, let along tough, question in sight. He also never seems to listen to the answers enough to know when a follow-up would be more interesting than the next question on his list (which normally starts with "Jackie Gleason once told me..." Anyway, that's Larry.

That was cool. They were both comfortable and funny. Jon was way over the top and Larry met him every step of the way. Hillarious! I might even buy the book.
