Adam Lambert's Duet With Susan Boyle (VIDEO)

America is upset that Adam Lambert lost "American Idol" (even though it's its own damn fault), but we know one lady who's glad Adam's back on the market: Susan Boyle. The frumpy queen of lowering expectations gets her hooks into the homosexual hottie in the following video and sparks fly.

That was funny. From some of the responses I've read so far, I think some of you don't really get humor or comedy. First, I don't think it was homophobic. If i thought so I doubt that I would think it was funny. However, to poke fun is the point of a lot of humor. In fact some of the best humor is self deprecation where the humorist pokes fun at himself. One of the funniest bits in this cartoon exactly mirrors life. Susan Boyle's sexy dance is exactly what she did. It's even the same dress. When Susan took the stage at Britain's Got Talent, she knew what the people in the audience thought of her. However, she had the last laugh because they were absolutely flabbergasted by her talent. As far as the A. I. competition goes Adam is definitely having the last laugh. Actually, the joke is sorta on Kris Allen. He "won" the competition, but every one is scrambling to get Adam signed. Kiss and Queen are duking it out for Adam, while Kris is stuck with an A. I. contract. I will get tickets to see Adam, but Kris not so much - okay not at all. And Adam can be himself from Day 1. None of that "is he or isn't he" crap that Clay Aiken went trough.

Scouring the HuffingtonPost and the interwebs for people's reactions to Adam's loss, I have identified a few main trends: 1. People think its a backlash of Lambert being overpimped, 2. Homophobia might have played a role (Gokey's super christian fan base supported Kris), 3. Adam's over the top singing/weird ballad-rock combos doesn't jive that well with everyone, 4. Kris Allen is cuter, more boy-next-door, ergo more popular in the teen girl demographic which fuels much of the votes, and 5. People like contemporary sounding guys like Kris.

As a gay man and as a fan of AI, I think numbers 3-5 are likely the determinants of Kris' win. Because if it were homophobia, Lambert would have been voted out a long time ago. When Bill O'Reilly showed Adam's kiss pics with his boyfriend, other Fox News anchors stepped in and said, America doesn't mind about his sexuality. They even stated that Elton John and George Micheal are still popular and successful in the US even though they're gay. One of the female anchors even said that America likes Adam for his talent.

If Fox News is willing to tone down on their homophobia to protect the AI lead contestant, I don't think homophobia would have played a factor in Adam's loss. My goodness, there are even female fans who don't believe that Adam's gay!

That was my first reaction as well. What's with the Cindy Brady lisp? This was clearly made by someone who knows nothing about Adam Lambert -- other than the fact that he's gay. I don't like to abitrarily toss out the homophobic accusation, but in this case, it actually seems appropriate.
