Sotomayor

Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele responded Tuesday morning to President Obama's nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court by saying his party would "reserve judgment" for now.

"Republicans look forward to learning more about federal appeals court judge Sonia Sotomayor's thoughts on the importance of the Supreme Court's fidelity to the Constitution and the rule of law. Supreme Court vacancies are rare, which makes Sonia Sotomayor's nomination a perfect opportunity for America to have a thoughtful discussion about the role of the Supreme Court in our daily lives. Republicans will reserve judgment on Sonia Sotomayor until there has been a thorough and thoughtful examination of her legal views," Steele said.

This selection by Obama shows his continuing leftist agenda. Since his campaign he has promised to reach out to " the other side of the isle." Apparently he doesn't care about reaching out to the almost half of the country that didn't vote for him. Since he has the majority in congress he has mostly ignored those who disagree with his policies. Jeff Sessions, Senator from Alabama says "he and his constituents feel she is to much of an activists." There is also a youtube video showing her saying that " policy is made in the appeals court . . ." and that she " probably shouldn't have said that on camera." Obama prefers someone who has the " common touch" instead of someone who can do the best job.

"reserve judgment?" Where has Steal been for the last few days. The rethugs have already judged the President's supreme court pick even before he announced it.

Yeah he will reserve judgement about as long as it took him to read the sentence constructed by the party and provided to him by Rush and Cheney.

They've had weeks to come up with a response to one of the most probable nominees and that's the best they could come up with?

Hey Michael, one of your administrators accidentally e-mailed the attack plan to the media.
Just thought you should know. Maybe if you ask nice your handlers will let you spend some money on some MSOutlook classes for your troops.

Good luck

It is Steele sticking to the RNC talking points that are so predictable. Trying to sound reasonable after the knee jerk reaction as soon as Souter announced his retirement. They were rejecting Sotomayor even before she had been nominated.

Dang, no chance with the white liberal angry elitist girl's club member bashing that they were hoping for...They're gonna have to go with Castro/Chavez/Sandanista loving tree hugger elitist lines instead.

SOOOooo predicitable. I mean, how else are they gonna scare "real Americans" to keep the donations coming to their coffers?
