Cheney, Rumsfeld Urged CIA To Mislead Congress In The 1970s, Authors Say

The first time Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld pressured the CIA to mislead Congress was in 1975 and 1976, when Cheney was chief of staff to President Gerald Ford and Rumsfeld was Ford's secretary of defense.

Cheney, having held a series of positions alongside Rumsfeld -- starting under him in the Nixon administration -- also became campaign manager for Ford's reelection campaign. George H. W. Bush was head of the CIA, appointed by Jerry Ford when Ford switched Rumsfeld from White House chief of staff to secretary of defense.

That is why Carl Rove, Sean Hannity and all of the other nuts should never ever be in any type of control. Rove showed just what powr did to hm i the Bush white house. I am reading the book Family of Secrets, The Bush Dyansty, The Powerful forces that put it in the White House, and what their influence means for America by Russ Baker. This book just came out in 2009. This book also deals with George Bush, Sr hating JFK and being tied to the people who killed JFK and RGK and how Oswald was just a patsy. Seymore Hirsch has another book that is coming out in July 2009 about Dick Chaney running secret death squades out of the White House. Rumsfield and Chaney needs to be in jail...

Hopefully they will hang themselves which is probably what Obama wants them to do. Ex Pres Bush is already coming out of the closet which indicates a sign of "got to cover my arse." Dick Cheney is a man who firmly believes that the presidency has to be a pseudo-dictatorship and the President should have the power to override the Constitution whenever he sees fit. His own daughter wrote her dissertation in support of that very subject. The irony of all of this, is that conservatives are willingly siding with a man who wants to not so secretly be a dictator of our country. They complain about big government but when big oppressive government incarnate actually rears its head, they back it whole heartedly.
