The writer is incorrect. That is a rifle. It is not a shotgun. There is a difference. It would be the same as saying, "...with a poodle slung over his shoulder". Please try to be more accurate.

it looks like a single barrel shot gun, that is loaded by the rear of the barrel. See how the barrel and the but stock are canted? I dont remember any rifle that loads that way.

I think too many people do not realize the photograph of him in the hunting outfit is a pictorial commentary, meant somewhat subtly tongue-in-cheek, if not to convey a sense of small sense irony of the life in Palin's Alaska or poke fun of it too. The "outfit" at one point encompasses and references the "rugged" and supposedly "hunting" mentality that non-Alaskans seem to assume (Palin shooting wolves from an airplane, eg..) . Levi is all wrapped up in the culture of Alaska currently but if he evolves, gets educated, reforms himself from the Republican mindset, he can strip himself from "backwoods" mindset of the Palin clan. Oh yes, visually he is hot, but until he evolves, he's not likable. A smart, warm, competent, caring, honest, and genuinely loving person is what makes a person truly hot! That said most Republicans today have devolved and are Repugnant.

I guess its hard for all the east coasters to understand hunters.I am a gay man living in Washington state,I have been brought up around guns and hunting.Its not murder,its providing food for the table.There is sport if its done right.We eat what we shoot,We kill what we aim at and if for some reason its not a good shot we track the animal down to dispatch it as quickly and humanely as possible.I'm a hardcore democrat,I believe there is no sane reason for anyone to own an assault rifle.People need to realize that different regions have different customs and practices and just because its not what you would do does'nt necessarily mean that its wrong. And oh by the way. He is totally hot.
