Here is a real laugh. I just parked at a meter that cost a quarter for eight minutes, limit 4 hours. It doesn't take anything but quarters. Who carries thirty quarters around?

The parking meter debacle is really hurting business in Chicago and causing a lot of Chicagoans to forego coming into downtown to do shopping at local store. Brilliant in the middle of a recession to implement the new meter policies but also raise the parking prices so substantially. Hope this is a legitimate investigation by Madigan and not just some show trial to try and placate outraged drivers. Is there anything in this city that isn't corrupt? The city should give drivers a break and let everyone park at meters for at least a week for free.
