Angelina Gets A New Tattoo (PHOTOS)

Angelina Jolie has a new tattoo, and no one else seems to have noticed.

When Jolie walked the red carpet in Cannes in an asymmetrical backless dress with partner Brad Pitt, the crowds went crazy and photographers zoomed in for shots of the well-documented Khmer script on her left shoulder blade and the tiger on her lower back, two of her many well-documented tattoos.

But perhaps her best known is the six lines on her left arm with the longitudes and latitudes of the birthplaces of each of her children. Those six lines, existing on skin where an almost-gone tattoo tribute to ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton used to dominate, are now partially framed by curving lines that form a right angle.

This tatoo sh-t is really generational...for some, they are looked as a symbol of being trash, common, vulgar and just plain from the wrong side of the tracks...in this instance, I will stick with that appropiate judgement...

Tattoos almost always look bad on women.

Those aren't tattoos, they're a database. There's nothing appealing about covering your body with trivia. I see high school kids getting tats with more and more regularity. What happens down the line when they regret them? This can't be the best way to rebel.

So why doesn't she simply join the circus? Isn't that what tattooed "ladies" used to do?She and Brad are boring and have used up their 15 minutes. Can we stop giving them attention before they use up all of the oxygen too?

God, I hope so! No one should bring children into her life to seduce a married man, fix a failed relationship, or fill a bottomless emptiness.

There are many young adults who cannot find decent employment because they have exposed tattoos. It is time to stop judging people and to realize the body is a suitcase, and we are free to decorate our suitcases as we see fit. Tattoos are art, motivated art. This article is irrelevant because having tattoos needs to be, or perhaps it's more relevant....

Soon it will have become such common place to see "exposed" tattoos that it will no longer exclude anyone from anything. It will be completely irrelevant, as it should be. It is what is in your heart that matters, not what is tattooed on your skin.

Art they may be, but art belongs on the walls.

At first glance, to most people, tattoos look like wounds, scars, or deformities. Humans are hard-wired to find skin anomalies generally unappealing, and something for which an individual must compensate in other ways.

And, you know, that is probably some of the underlying motivation for getting tattooed---the message "I'm not trading on my good looks, I have value other than my appearance, see, I'll prove it by dinging myself up a bit". Sort of like a permanent burka.

If tats were so great, don't you think at least some humans would be born with stripes or spots?
Actually, come to think of it, a few well-placed stripes and spots might not look half bad....

Tribes have been tattooing themselves for centuries, as rights of passage and simply for their beauty. It is cultural how you view tattoos, not genetic.

The tattoo is weird, let's be honest. But it's better than her putting every single one of her kids on her arm. Could you imagine that? They wouldn't even fit!!!
