Obama has been targeting Republican Chrysler dealers with his dealer shutdowns.
=======
Actually, the talking point is "dealers who donated to republicans".
And it's been debunked.
But feel free to continue to illustrate your ignorance.
it's the GOP that can't finish a sentence without a lie.
Perhaps you are projecting your own guilt.
It's pretty obvious the GOP would have shafted democrats,
So you conservatives think
Everybody is as corrupt as you are.
If Obama is not targeting Republican dealerships then where are the rules and plans for how the decision is made?He was supposed to be the king of tranparency yet he wont release the plan for deciding which dealerships close.
GM will follow in the footsteps of the last great labor and government owned auto company, British Leyland.
With his lack of experience, I hope he has the wisdom to see the whole picture of how this affects everyone involved.

Reminds me of the time when I was 53 and out of a job; had to interview with a 20-something in a bank's HR dept. In spite of over 30 yrs experience, an ability to ease into a job quickly, and business training, I wasn't even considered for any job. She told me I needed to "sacrifice." Frankly, I wanted to cuff her ears, but I was certainly more civil than she was. That is the backside of inexperience being put into positions of authority.
This guy is learning on the job--not good news.
I feel ya. Been there, DOING that now however, except for the interviewers obvious callousness, I like the new energy coming into the fold. Give's us "old timers" an opportunity to take less of the heat. Hope u found something. Hope I do too!!
First you tr0IIs blame the UAW for GM''s problem, then "old" management, now you don't like the young guy.
Make up your mind.
First of all, I voted for Obama--I was excited to see a first person of color in the WH. Secondly, I am absolutely pro-union. Thirdly, the guy has no experience in what he's doing, he seems to have only had campaign experience, seems to be a political appt, and is an acolyte of Lawrence Summers; fourthly, don't make assumptions about people you don't know.
When GM emerges in 90++days, what models will they offer? The same ones not selling now? How will the remaining dealers dump the loser line they have now? Will GM buy them back with taxpayer money? Give them to the FEDS? The transformation in a phone booth will be interesting to watch.
Which models will they still offer? The same ones they can't sell now? I've seen the SPARK, but it's like the SMART car - a roller skate with very limited appeal UNLESS gas is $4++ a gallon. Now, there's a plan waiting to happen.
it's not their fault consumers like you don't give a s.h.i.t about the environment.
In private, Rushlikes to be called Tiddlywinks.
Obama has been targeting Republican Chrysler dealers with his dealer shutdowns.
The ratio of Rep/Dem Chrylser dealer shutdowns is running 42 to 1.
More thuggery.
Need to talk to Chrysler about that, but in the meantime, we'll see if we can get some liberals to help talk you down since they lived with eight years of the Bush admin thuggery and lived to tell about it. Just breath deeply and you'll be fine.
actually, Obama has been keeping republican car dealers in business by forcing GM to restructure.
Nefarious!
I bought a GM product 2 years ago and am very happy with it. But, I can't see GM selling profitably without shedding more brands and many more dealers. UNLESS, the government commits more taxpayer dollars over the next 5 - 10 years to ensure their market share. This will be interesting, because we know they are too big to fail again and again.
OT
Is anyone else here having problems with the Hu.f.f.ie threads over the last couple of days? Or am I alone, AGAIN!! :)
Here's Deese's boss, pension-defrauder Steve Rattner, on his team's great auto industry skills--
"So we’ve learned a lot about how car dealers work, and how companies get paid when they sell a car to a dealer, and why there are a certain number of dealers more than are optimal. Have we learned everything? Of course not, but I think we are learning what we need to learn to do this job.”"
I think this is another mess. Corporate America will do anything a profit margin. They should never be trusted.
GM plans to export cars from China to the US
A 12-page dossier submitted to politicians in Washington suggests that the number of cars that GM manufactures in Mexico, China and South Korea and imported into the US will roughly double.
Although GM is struggling globally, its operations in China continue to be a huge success. Sales in March rose by more than 50pc to 151,000 cars, compared to 172,000 in the US. GM has invested in research and design facilities alongside its Chinese partners and says it could design and produce a car wholly inside China within 12 to 24 months.
The company also conceded that China could eventually become a more important market than the US. ( http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/transport/general-motors/5323274/GM-plans-to-export-cars-from-China-to-the-US.html )
