NEW YORK — Heidi and Spencer Pratt said they're quitting, and they really, really mean it this time.

At least twice already, they had quit and un-quit "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" But the bratty newlyweds, who star on MTV's "The Hills," were seen taking what's presumably their final leave on the Tuesday edition of the NBC competition series _ only its second night.

"I'm a Celebrity" airs from the Costa Rican jungle, with semi-famous people competing for food, supplies, money for their chosen charities _ and TV screen-time.

But as Spencer explained, "Super-celebrities don't belong in the jungle. They belong in Hollywood with the paparazzi."

"We're gonna miss you guys," Heidi told the not-so-super-celebrities they were ditching. "But call us when you get back to LA."

Actor Lou Diamond Phillips, TV personality Janice Dickinson and former Illinois first lady Patti Blagojevich are among the nine remaining contestants.

So is Stephen Baldwin, actor and reality-show veteran, who described himself as a nondenominational born-again Christian. Before the Pratts bolted, Baldwin offered to baptize Spencer, who jumped at the chance since his wife is a professed Christian.

And how! "My goal is to be a true disciple of Jesus, a Mother Teresa helping the poor and the hungry," she said, straight-faced.

"Now you're looking at a new Spencer Pratt," Heidi's born-again hubby told America after the ceremony in a picturesque stream.

Soon after that, the couple declared they had had enough, and were getting out of there.

"Let them go off to Heidi-wood along the Yellow Brick Road," muttered Dickinson.

Will that be the last of them? TMZ and Extra were already reporting that Spencer was begging NBC to let him and Heidi un-quit again.

At the end of the hour, viewers were invited to cast their votes to eliminate one of the women contenders (with Blagojevich granted immunity for now). The results were promised for Thursday's show.

"I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" drew 6.4 million viewers for Monday's debut, according to Nielsen Media Research. It continues through Jun 24 on multiple weeknights.

OK. Seriously, people are even watching this show? What to do? Should I stand by my principles and boycott this tripe? Should I watch the show like a watch horror movies, with only one eye open? And if I did that, would I only have to endure half of the show? Does anyone out there even care? And Does anybody know what time it is? What? Pointless, you say? Exactly...

They'll bring them back, look how many people are talking about them.

I watched this tonight - that Janice chick has the most plumped up lips I've ever seen - and she was a supermodel? My kids were laughing their butts off.

OMG, this is a real freak show. I have to admit, I'm officially trash for watching this thing...

To NBC, if you let Spencer and his ugly wife back on "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here", I will quit watching. And I follow through with my statements!

All I caught was a glimpse of our Mother Theresa wannabe, and it's hysterical. She's crying that the heat melted the label on her plastic container of hairspray! I think she has a long way to go before she gets the meaning of this saint business.

I have never seen these two until the last 2 nights at that is enough for me. Spencer is the most obnoxious guy I have ever seen. To think that kids watch these two and think they are cool is very frightening. Don't tell me we are going to have a whole generation of this running around. Yuck!

Come on, this has to be a total act on Heidi's part because if she was really a Christian like she says she is, she wouldn't be with this guy. Did I just say Heidi can act? I guess she is just stupid then, why else would a girl be with this guy? He's not even a "bad boy", he's just a jerk.

I really wish the media would stop covering these two, they're a perfect example of what's wrong with this country, they're just 2 trust fund babies who think they should be famous for doing nothing that benefits society.

Spencer and Heidi Prratt will only be 15 minute Reality Stars !
Unless; you want to see Spencer act all phony and then manipulate and spew out hate on every meltdown he has !!!
He says he has changed but, as you can see on this REALITY SHOW that, is all they/he will ever be..!
They are rich spoilt BPratts for now and without a cause !

NBC is really great at this reality stuff. Whenever I see network boss Jeff Zucker on screen his image just screams out "class". And he wonders why his shows tank. And you wonder why he would put Jay Leno on five nights a week at 10PM because then he doesn't have to think about programming for 10PM for the next 17 years. He feels his only failure was not convincing Oprah to take her show to NBC for five nights a week at 8PM because then he'd have five hours more that he doesn't have to think about. He's a very creative exec. Oh and let's not forget that last week he let us in on NBC's biggest programming secret "Seinfeld would work today" right. Jeff take all your metrics and shove them up you know where or Silverman's you know where. Stephen Baldwin baptizing Spencer, reality we can believe in.

I've never seen these two low-watt bulbs before, despite their "superstar" status...they're pretty much a waste of space...show is truly below par....however, that said...I want Frangela to wipe them all out...you go girls!
