What was Obama to do? Throw the woman out? He was raised to be respectful of others.

I got such a kick out of watching her hang on to his arm for dear life!

Reagan was a horror who started us down the road to today's economic mess. Great communicator? Great phony! You people are delusional.

It's nice that Obama was kind to a feeble old lady. But what was the occasion? A commission to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Reagan's birth? Outrageous for a Democrat to be shepherding this. It should be a day of mourning all over the country, and for teach-ins about what the Reaganites have done to us.

"The change in America’s financial rules was Ronald Reagan’s biggest legacy and the gift that keeps on taking." Paul Krugman

You really have to appreciate the elegance of having a former first lady in her 90s with a young and energetic current President in his 40's honoring her husband's memory.

President Obama has so very much wonderful class and Mrs Reagan was very sweet as well. It's been so long since our political class showed so much decency and civility - this is how it always should be. Perhaps we have turned a corner and can be a nation of civilized people again. Well, that's probably expecting too much.

But maybe it's a start.

This was a wonderful moment to behold. I loved President Reagan, his policies were not may favorites but he was the Great Communicator, ended the Cold War and he worked with both parties on some very important issues.

I completely adore, Mrs. Reagan. She is still one of the toughest lady's in America, she loved (and still loves) her husband. I'm sure she is grateful for President Obama for signing the centennial document.

What can I say about President Obama, he continues to amaze me. The way he completely took care of Mrs. Reagan was incredible. I have always wanted to hear him said the words, "Morning in America" now I have and he sounded just a good as President Reagan.

I believe President Obama sees himself in President Reagan and the Presidents Roosevelt, President Kennedy and of course, President Lincoln.

Bravo President Obama!

Rush must be having fits trying to find a way to say something bad about the POTUS for this. He surely won't say anything nice.

Her husband, Ronald, was a lefty also and i caught that when she mentioned about Obama. I thought he showed a lot of compassion with assisting her as he did.

During the 1992 Presidential election, in an odd historical coincidence, it was noted that all 3 front runners were all lefties:

Geo. H.W. Bush, Ross Perot , and Bill Clinton.

I didn't ever agree with any of Reagan's policies at the time (nothing ever "trickled down" to me!), but this video reflected a sweet moment and I enjoyed watching it. What a gracious president we have. Perhaps this is what people saw in Reagan? I never saw it, but because I disagreed with his policies (especially environmental) so much. But in hindsight, maybe it was his charm and graciousness that won people over more than his policies. Nice to see grace returned to the White House.

She has redeemed herself in my eyes as someone who truly loves what America is and can be. From the documentaries I have seen, she was the one thing that came between President Reagan's developing Alzheimer's, and a silent coup by those who ... well ... eventually came into power and did it anyway!!!

Well, she got her wish, and returned to the white house one more time. She can rest in peace now.
