Last night Jimmy Fallon and his team pulled out all the stops. Jon Favreau appeared via the Interweb, Anne Hathaway played guitar, and the Roots slow-jammed the news. But the highlight of the evening--the thing that won the show its first standing ovation--was Will Forte of "SNL" singing the theme song he wrote for "Late Night."
It was a serious mess, he calls the Roots the "Tubes," claims Fallon appears on QVC instead of NBC, and says Jimmy's sidekick is Tom Cruise (which would be kind of awesome).
"Late Night Jimmy show on QVC Three straight hours of comedy! Twice a week - Tuesdays and Fridays And every third week We'll do a show on a Wednesday"
Despite these mistakes (actually, because of them) the song was hilarious and the Tubes were fabulous on back up.
