A day after US President Barack Obama reiterated his call to stop settlement activity during a speech in Cairo, defiant settlers continued to erect illegal structures in the West Bank, building a new outpost on Friday morning between Migron and Kohav Ya'akov.

I admit that these particular "settlers" are quite disrespectful and suffering from amnesia of who is sending them aid...it is not good to lump all of Israelies together and assigne this mindset to all. I happen to love Israel and hope we never cease being their allie for many reasons I take this position. On the other hand, I also agree that the Palestinians are deserving of having their own state as well and I embrace freedom for all. I reject all forms of oppression whether incidental or deliberate. And I think that when talks are underway ....a clear and definite message will be heard. I think a lot of people underestimate the strength of this President. I did during the primaries and everyone was calling him a "weak" when he failed to fight back at Hillary during the bid for the White House. Until I heard from Richard Wolfe who had inside information about this President as a candidate and he insisted their is nothing cowardly about him....and the events that led to his win to the White House...de­monstrated that over and over again. Israel will come around for we also have to respect their vulnerability as well which may explain their relunctance to comply with this new "old" plan of peace. They are surrounded by enemies and I am suspect when real peace talks emerge that carries a serious attempt to peace...th­ey will come on board...no­t immediately but eventually.

Sadly, (and this is a religious leader--so he should be ashamed of himself) what he is doing is using the language of de-humaniz­ation--"sa­vages" (this was the word used by Europeans and Euro-Americans to justify the taking of land from the Native Americans in THIS Hemisphere) , and thereby trying to justify the ethnic cleansing (through expulsion) of the Palestinian population.

This is the language and tactics of the late Meir Kahane and his banned Kach party. The question is will this become more mainstream? or will it be condemned by the mainstream?

Bear in mind, one of the parties of the current government wants to strip Israeli Arabs of their citizenship and essentially place them in the same stateless persons boat (with no rights) --essentially making Israel a tyranny -- (no other word to describe it if this happens--though it looksfor the moment as though it won't) as their Palestinian sisters and brothers.
