Obama called for a “new beginning between the United States and Muslims” in his much-anticipated address to the Muslim world from Cairo on Thursday. The speech, which was interrupted over a dozen times with applause, was the longest of his presidency, clocking in at 55 minutes, the AP reported. Not that his stop in Egypt was all business: the president took time out to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza. READ MORE

The voting and subsequent rating of how memorable these stories are feels rather disrespectful and crass to me...especially regarding the death of Keith Carradine(4.7) the murder of Dr. Tiller(7.4), and the crash of Flt 447(7.4) Yuk.

Disrespectful and disgusting. I frequent this site to view differing opinions, but this one's disgusting.

Like I've said all along. You pretend to support the troops but we know you really don't. Want proof a stunt with Borat makes nyour top 16. The murder of Dr. Tiller is #6. The murder of an American Soldier in this country by an Islamic extremist does not make your top 16. Do all of us former veterans a favor and come out of the closet like you did in the Vietnam era and admit. you don't support them.

Torture is the biggest story, but the media got it all wrong.

They defend the practice of torture and plaster Cheneys all over our walls. They also always leave out the important back ground information that puts it all in perspective. Here is some of it,
