Cablevision, Yankees First To Offer Local Game Streaming Rights

The New York Yankees may be able to claim another first: in-market live game streaming. MLBAM and the YES Network have agreed to a streaming rights package that would end the blackout under certain conditions; Cablevision (NYSE: CVC) added the in-market streaming rights as part of its latest carriage renewal with the regional sports net and, according to the Sports Business Journal, plans later this season to be the first operator to offer the service. After a false start last season, the deal also makes MLB the first major league with in-market streaming of live games.

It costs from $500.00 to $900.00 for box seats per seat, at this new stadium, and the Yankees lost so many fans when they left channel 11 and went to pay cable TV...

I don't think anyone can even get to see a game in the cheapest seats for less than $100.00...overall cost...

These elites couldn't stand that we peons even had baseball as a distraction from their daily tyranny...

I played for nine consecutive years hardball and now the entire game is an embarrassment...

So streaming would be nice, but I wonder what people will have to pay for that honor..!
