'NY Housewife' Bensimon Gets Community Service For Boyfriend Beating

NEW YORK — "The Real Housewives of New York City" cast member accused of punching her ex-boyfriend has reached an agreement in the case.

Model Kelly Killoren Bensimon was arrested in March. Nicholas Stefanov told police Bensimon had struck him at her Manhattan apartment. Stefanov said he suffered a black eye, a busted lip and a bloodied cheek.

As part of Monday's agreement, the misdemeanor assault charge will be dropped if the 40-year-old stays out of trouble for a year. Bensimon also must perform two days of community service.

"The Real Housewives of New York City" aired on Bravo.

Mr. Stefanov was sentenced to a life of humiliating reality as a wimp, and was released on his own recognisance pending anyone caring. And please avoid marrying into angry, deluded self-aggrandizement in the future. Note to public: stop watching this crap.

Have been following Kelly since her "inception" on RHNY (Real Housewives of NY). I can understand why she desires to continue on in the series -- she needs/wants to salvage her social/personal reputation -- which seems to have become somewhat tattered while doing the show. Fine, Kelly, show us what you've "got" -- but not via showing us "stuff." You are very good at doing five minute segments of "stuff" for other media outlets. What many of us tune into the show for -- is to track the housewives' social/personal relationships among/between each other -- and we look for nuance, nuance, nuance. This is what women are good at -- oh! are very good at! Men, however, are not (you seem to take your cues from the male gender). Kelly, meet Kelly: she appears to be incapable of sustaining conversation beyond a few minutes, at best. She seems to view relationships as commodies. When I tune in to the show, I care very,very little about what you're wearing or what party you will be seen at next. I want to see/hear you interact with others ... in a sustained manner. Set up another bar scene with Bethanny and ask her questions about herself/her life (or any of the other housewives, for that matter -- even Gloria). What do YOU add to a relationship? You have the potential to develop into someone of substance -- but I honestly don't see that individual right now.

It's much easier to hate somebody that you don't know. If you haven't met an African American, Jewish American or an Asian American you can call them, they, & hate them as an abstract concept or whatever.

On the show, Kelly claimed to be "blonde", as in "Bethenney is brunette, and I'm blonde."

I think Gina Gershon (& the rest of NY society) was mocking her yesterday when Gina claimed to be blonde when introducing "Legally Blonde" at the Tony's.
