Umm.... the article only mentions one senator, John Cornyn, as having pulled to get her disinvited. Pete Sessions, the guy the article says was working behind the scenes to get her reinvited, is a member of the House of Representatives. Not a senator, as the headline (curiously *only* the one on the front page) says.

If it was Gingrich's demand that Palin be uninvited, my guess is that she won't be re-invited. He may be (rightfully) ticked off at a potential opponenent in 2012 ginning up her campaign by plagiarizing his material. It would seem consistent with Gingrich's personality and tactics that he would want to make a strong point, a smack-down if you will, to Palin. The GOP's best chance at this point for 2012 is Gingrich, so if Gingrich wants her gone, she's gone.

If it was another reason, she may be reinvited. The question is, will she attend?

The republican party is so divided that one republican faction had to send an envoy over to another republican camp to ACTUALLY BEG for an invitation for Sarah Palin, so that they could put on a dog and pony show to TRY and convince the die hard republicans that they are united.
