KIEV, Ukraine -- In the early summer evenings you see them individually and in groups: foreign men, of all ages and nationalities -- ex-Soviet, European, North American, Middle Eastern and African. They sit in the outdoor cafes that adorn Kiev's winding central streets, or patrol about the main Independence Square like guerrilla squads. At night they pack the discos and restaurants and bars.

As a woman, what impresses me about the Ukrainian women is how they walk on those busted, pot-holed streets in those pretty drastic heels. If they made this an olympic event, the Ukrainians would dominate every year.

Someone mentioned many times about not feeling attracted towards American women and this simply appalls me.I am an Indian(from India that is) and I find stereotypes hard to digest especially if they refer to someone.What do American women feel about these quotes because its not just here..Ive heard it before as well ?How do they deal with this issue?
How can you say ALL American women are like that?It depends on so many factors right from Genetics and Human nature to Economic scenarios and lifestyles....Ive met many adorable American girls who have been nothing but nice and Ive met many Indian girls who are materialistic.How can you stereotype anyone.
and according to that logic wouldn't you say that many of these women are also materialistic because they wanna get out of there and get a better life and that man is the ticket?

These women are just that: They're women, human beings. They're people's daughters and sisters and maybe even mothers and it's pretty friggin sad that so many men are so insanely uncultured that they feel they can go to other countries to exploit these humans. I don't see it quite as much here since, well, it's Siberia (even though women here are very pretty too). However, many years ago I lived in Kiev and some women, because of the absolute desperate situation of the time (perestroika), put themselves up "for sale" so to speak because they didn't know what else to do--it was really sad. Now, the situation is better but still difficult; however, most women here would much rather struggle than be seen as the equivalent of a blowup doll.

All types of people put themselves up for sale across the globe and nowhere
is this science more perfected than in America. Just listen to people talk at
weddings. Too many people have bought into the idea that a big carat means
big love. Too many women (and men) believe that if you are financially hung
well then you must be sexy. What happened to the notion that Gandhi can be sexy?
Too many people define themselves by their zip code, their car, their trophy wife
or trophy husband. I know people in Hollywood. I see how this thinking sells
tabloids at the check out counters. It's sad and even sadder still that people
feel a driving need to search beyond America to find something more meaningful.
So long as it continues to be tabloid lizard-brain thinking then more Americans
will look overseas for an alternative.
