McCain Deserts Palin Again On Oil Drilling In Arctic Refuge

Remember back to September, when Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was a newly minted vice-presidential candidate and she was asked by ABC's Charlie Gibson about drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and her split with her running mate, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.?

At the time, she told Gibson: "We'll agree to disagree, but I'm gonna keep pushing that, and I think, eventually, we're all gonna come together on that one."

Yet further validation that his choosing her as his '08 running mate was one of the more cynical moves in memory. Not that I would care who you would've picked, Senator McCain, if your pick had faded off into the sunset like most VP picks who go on to lose....bu­t your having unleashed this "b*east that won't go away" on us effectively diminishes everything else you've ever done in yor life.

McCain was never with Palin in the first place, he was just hoping her aw shucks stuff would stir up some interest in the redneck portions of the country where sl*ts are popular. Although he did lose by about 9 million votes, great way of under-estimating people you think would be taking in by such low class tactics.

This is going to make the Palin fans very angry. They attack anyone (and everyone) who isn't in love with Palin. Side note: Those people have some issues that they have not dealt with in a healthy
fashion.

In any case, I can't wait for the primaries when it's the Repbulicans who will have to go after Palin. They will go bonkers. They attack republican who dare say anything against their queen.
It's all very odd. They need help.

What's funny is how fully they support her as they have never heard one speech from Palin on policy. Don't most "thinking" people listen to all the candidates and then decide who they support.

McCain needs to come clean about his VP candidate choice: he opened up this Pandora's box, let loose the monster and gave her some credibility .... and Palin is convinced that what he said about her capabilities is fact.....

He does need to distance himself from this half-wit and make it clear that he doesn't think she is Presidential material ... geeez she can't even dress herself!

I guess he has to reap what he sows. He can't possibly run for president, he's too old and his party won't want that. His performance at the rallies and in the debates didn't make him seem intelligent, his choice for vp confirms lack thereof. He can try to redeem himself and keep her from getting anywhere near the white house by tripping her up, which can't really be that hard.
