George H.W. Bush Skydiving Video... George W. Bush Suggests His Dad Threw Up In Air

Huffington Post   First Posted: 07/13/2009 5:12 am Updated: 05/25/2011 1:30 pm

Former President George H.W. Bush jumped out of a plane today to mark his 85th birthday. It wasn't the first time the older Bush had marked a birthday this way. He celebrated his 75th birthday in 1997 with a jump over Yuma, Arizona.

After he landed, Bush told the press, "You feel exhilarated. You get charged up and excited. That's not easy to do at 85."

Also at the scene was a casual looking George W. Bush. After being urged by the press, he came over and remarked that his dad's feat was "awesome." He also made a joke that his father had thrown up his breakfast while in the air.

Politics aside, that was a pretty funny joke. Quick wit.

Why no big fuss about the expense of this present to himself? I mean, 41 doesn't use a private company to do these birthday jumps -- he uses the Army. Oh wait, maybe that is his private company.

Hopefully the end of white guy politics will end soon.

"If the American people ever find out what we have done to them, they will chase us down the streets and lynch us." George H.W. Bush to reporter Sarah McLendon in June 1992.

Don't bother searching for this quote on Google - All websites with this quote are blocked. Curiouser and curiouser!

Look it up on AltaVista, Ask, or some other search engine. Dogpile didn't come up with anything either.

George H. W. Bush in a June 1992 interview with Sarah McClendon the Grand Dam of the Washington White House Press Corps, told Sarah when she asked, then President George H.W. Bush.

Question: George Bush, what will the American people do if they find out the truth about Iraq/Gate and Iran/Contra.

Answer: George Bush said "Sarah if the American people ever find out what we have done to them, they will chase us down the streets and lynch us".

Yeah, Happy Birthday you old Nazi! You got away with it for another year. They're closing in on you. The truth shall make you swing!

Correction, should read: "If the people were to ever find out what we have done, we would be chased down the streets and lynched."

That googled as a phrase comes up with several hits.

I am very impressed that he was able to do this, even more so if he was anxious enough that he lost his breakfast. It's an example of challenging oneself to do things that are difficulty and scary well into old age. I hope I am like him in this respect when I get to be his age.
