Is he aware that this "kush" he's so worried about has been around for years and years but then the slang term was dank....so he wants stricter laws for a new slang term?

Ahh, when the Kirk crows in the late spring, when his voters fill the Internet with their sweet and toxic comments about him, when right wing nutballs from around the country rally to Kirk's screech, then we know election time is just a year and months away. Wonder how that divorce thing is working out for him.

:)
Kirk for Senate? Sure, why not? I would love to see all the dirt on his love life. nudge nudge wink wink.

Shouldn't he be going to jail for treason? Wasn't it him who went to China last week and told Chinese officials not to trust the US banking system? What an ass. This is the battle he's taking up. What a typical backward Republican.

Hurry, someone buy this congressman a pack of un-filtered Camels before he goes 1950's on us. He'll probably be searching for Communists next.

Hey Illinois vote this guy out of office. This guy is out of whack with the times...Yeah increase the penalties for the people who use the good stuff. You know the weed you use less of to feel good. It's like punishing the the guy who prefers a well aged single malt to wild turkey.

This country would be much better off if it outlawed tobacco and legalized marijuana!

Insanity is making the same mistake, and expecting a different result. The "war" on drugs was lost 30 years ago. I was recently at a rock concert in Chicago. I bet there were 10,000 people smoking weed. I saw a guy rolling a joint in front of a cop. Will our elected representatives ever stop treating us like idiots?

this is almost as stupid as when the dem controlled congress gave crack users harsher penalties than powder coke users.

Can't comment on where the votes came from, but crack penalties are much harsher than for coke.

The guidelines were set deliberately. It appears that those "soft on crime" democrats saw crack use as much more serious than powder due to its addictiveness, relationship of its users to other crimes, and harm to users. While the information may have been wrong, the decisions were based on impact on society, not the race of the users.
