Barack Obama not only beat John McCain at the ballot box last year, he also crushed him in the bookstores.

Steve Ross: The Writer-in-Chief
"What's his name?" "Barack Obama." "Sorry. What is his name?" "Barack. Obama." He'd graduated at the top of his class at Harvard Law School, she explained, and was the first Black President of the Harvard Law Review. His educational credentials were impeccable and I was going to love his writing, she felt confident.

To all those haters of the "who's paying for this" chant
The royalty numbers for McCain stand in stark contrast to President Obama, who reported earning about $2.6 million last year from the sales of his two books, "The Audacity of Hope" from 2006 and "Dreams From My Father" from 1995. Those royalties came on top of $4.1 million in book income in 2007, placing Obama among the ranks of nation's highest-earning nonfiction authors. (washingtonpost.com)
Again he does not need a White House fund. BTW he is getting royalties from Richard Wolfe book as well and the movie of the campaign.
Um probably because many more Obama supporters can read than John McCain's. Not that I am pro Obama but think about it. Ron Paul 2012!
Witty.. LOL.
Even if Obama went to a Denny's it would quadruple their business. If McCain went nobody would care. All his supporters eat there already.
I am not surprised. For the following reasons:
1. President Obama has even a bigger fan base around the world.
2. Obama's two books taking prime space and promoted heavily, McCain books on the other hands, are at best not available, and at worst never heard of.
3. Obama's books have been translated into many languages. McCain's books on the other hands have not.
4. Obama's story, is.. well, truly remarkable, McCain's on the other hand, exactly the opposite.
5. Obama has charisma, you can't help but like him. McCain, he is O.K.
All day, Obama's anything will crush McCain's anything. Obama has subtance.
McCain has 8 houses!
Obama's anything will still crush McCain's anything!
Let's see: Obama's smarter and therefore a better writer.
I am assuming, too, that Democrats read more than Republicans.
Just a hunch.
No surprise there!
Audacity of Hope is pretty good. It pretty much lays out exactly what Obama is in the process of doing. Keep in mind it was published in 2006! That's why I laugh at the haters critisizing him. All they had to do is read his book 4 years ago. Then again I don't think a lot of them are big on reading!
And all the socalled reporters werent very good at reporting - not much time left for that after you have spent an entire news segment gushing.
