Gov. Sarah Palin refused to commit to running not just for the 2012 Republican presidential candidacy but also for reelection as governor of Alaska, during an interview on Friday.

In a sit down with CNN's Wolf Blitzer, the Alaska Republican said she had made no decision on her political future, whether in-state or nationally.

"I'm not definitely going to do anything yet," she said. "What I'm trying to get done for Alaska right now is to get that Alaska gas line built. We need those energy sources flowing through North America. That's what my focus is."

Palin's hesitancy in declaring her 2012 plans is expected. But her declining to commit to running for reelection could spark additional speculation that she is clearing her calendar with eyes on higher office. Several weeks ago, Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty said he would not seek a third term in office, leading to suggestions that he would seek the Republican Party's nod in 2012.

Blitzer also pressed Palin on a variety of other political topics, including her early perception of the job being done by President Obama.

"I think he's growing government way too quickly, and he's digging that hole of debt for our country that we're going to pass on to our children and our grandchildren, expecting them to pay off debt for us," she said. "It's a selfish thing that we're doing right now if we think that is OK."

According to CNN's own write up of the interview, Palin rapped late night comedian David Letterman, once again, for making sexually suggestive jokes about both her and her daughter.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said Friday it was a "weak, convenient excuse" for talk show host David Lettermen to claim his controversial joke made earlier this week targeted Palin's older daughter, and not 14-year-old Willow.

"My 14-year-old was there with me at the game. She was the only one there with me," Palin said Friday in an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

Letterman joked Tuesday that Palin's "daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez" at a recent Yankees game. He admitted the following night that the joke was in "poor taste," but he insisted the line was in reference to 18-year-old Bristol, who gave birth to a boy in December.

Everyone please go to sarahpac.com and "click "on News Update. Sarah if finally showing her true colors...she is without a shaddow of a doubt admitting she wants to be the face of the GOP !
Her feigned outrage and blatant hypocracy during last week's "media circus" was appalling but the press she received obviously emboldened the delusional diva's quest for Queen of the GOP. I have sent a response to sarahpac.comc.com letting them know my comtempt for this self promoting lunatic.

I find many Liberal Democrats are mean-spirited and, truly, glad I changed my party after 35 years a Democrat -- too embarrassing. Thus, I refused to be part of such a foul-mouthed, rude group! Go ahead, call me 'too stupid' to have an opinion, or such, again ... Doesn't matter. I know 'right from wrong' and act according in my address to others ... and, that's right, I STILL believe in God who is MY daily direction in life. Many of you have put God out of your lives, now LOOK HOW YOU ACT! "My God!!!".

The Liberal Democratic group is cruel and, daily, spew such hatred ALL THE TIME; FINDING 'GLEE' IN BEING MEANER THAN THE LAST CO-PARTY MEMBER. Shameful behavior. I don't care who you are or what you got, your behaviors are low-down ghetto.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU WHO BEHAVE THIS WAY??? WHAT HAPPENED IN YOUR LIVES TO TURN YOU INTO SUCH VINDICTIVE PEOPLE??? Your actions have chased many of us away from the Democratic Party. Shameful people, the whole lot, in representation of One.

You either have no idea what you are typing, lying completely or you are so dellusional that you actually think that much of the race bating, hate filled rhetoric that comes out of the GOP is perfectly fine and upstanding.

Now we're supposed to have the "fear of the Lord" in us? A laughable, predictable response from a right winger. When you can't turn to any type of intelligent discourse, throw the religious card onto the table. And by the way, that 60 million number is dwindling - fast. Seems like the American public just may be getting a litlle smarter. Even the approval ratings in her own state have plummeted.

That anyone really thinks that this women could be President is beyond my comprehension! She can't even speak in acceptable English. She's a pretty face and thats the depth of her. That any GOP thinks she's the future of their party will be deeply disappotinted to learn that the majority of peoplewould contend that she is no more than an occasional , weak at best, comic relief. No reflection on Letterman intended.

You say, 'Beyond My Comprehension' ... interesting. Yet, I'd wager you're one of 'those' people who voted for a guy with NO experience; so, in essence, what does that say about your judgment? Now THAT's beyond MY comprehension to this day. No way would I vote for inexperience in the White House; no way!!!

"You guys ..

" Well, there are no words to describe Obama's followers' mindsets of meanness, the ability to 'look the other way', and joining as 'one' to condemn others". Shameful robtoic natures.

I'm pleased NOT be part of this behavior. 'The Angry Ones', that's what I call you guys -- ANGRY all the time, every single day. How can one live like that and be REALLY happy? Say you are, but it cannot be true. NO ONE can live with such daily animosity without it affecting their mind, body, and/or spirit ... No One.

Can Gov. Sarah Palin commit to not running for the 2012 Republican presidential candidacy as well as reelection as governor of Alaska.

America can accept that!

Doesn't matter how many people Gov Plain governs. The point is, she has Executive 'experience' -- moreso than our prez. Downing her will not change the fact that people of bad judgment elected an inexperienced person into the WH -- and it's showing in Obama's mis-management of the economy. Rather than harp on Gov Palin, people who voted the Prez in should be following what he is doing with their vote. For instance, In taking over private sectors of businesses -- which is unheard of by any seating president in history - is wrong. Just think about this: "YOUR company and/or job may be next".

The economy was mishandled by Bush. Obama is trying to fix it. Give him a chance. Would you be giving up on McCain in less than four months had he won?

What private sectors of business is President Obama taking over? If you are referring to TARP then you should (of course you don't) realize that that bill was signed to law by GW and over half the money was shooed out the door by Bush's appointee, Hank Paulson with very little accountability. Yes as a senator, Obama did vote for the bailout bill but that was under the guise of extreme economic collapse propogated by Bush and Paulson.

If you are referring to the bankruptcies of CM and Chrysler you should (but of course you don't) realize that there was $15 billion allocated for US automakers in the TARP bill. Not to mention that Chrysler has filed for bankruptcy in the past and it does not qualify "government take over" speech by your or those spewing lies that you listen too; Fox news, Limbaugh et al.

I really hope she doesn't run for office. I am an independent but I can't stand the hypocritical neocon agenda. Palin needs to leave the politics to people who know what they are saying or doing. As for all the neocon sympathizers on here who say that palin bashers are scared or thats she a great woman need to open up their eyes and realize that like Bush she cannot be trusted. Remember when Bush ran on a platform of limited government, fiscal sanity, and non interventionist foreign policy? He adhered to none of those tenets and I suspect Palin would do the same.

It amazes me that Gov. Palin's experience was so 'hatefully' questioned & ridiculed during the campaign by people who supported [then, Senator] Obama. To support someone with even MUCH less experience, what does that say about Obama's supporters? Right ... people like these lack good judgment; and, because of 'there' lack of judgment, we now have an inexperienced person in the presidency -- and it's showing. Our economy is the pitts!

BUSH Is gone. Obama continued Bush's spending in quad-mode. OBAMA did this to the economy; OBAMA is accountable; OBAMA has our country at a 9.4% job rate loss, which exceeds 60% of the American population. The 'Blame Game' is DEAD. EACH person who elected an inexperienced person into the White House are responsible for the next 4 years.

Blame game is not over, Obama has been in office for four months. You cannot possibly turn around the mess your party created in that short amount of time.
I will proudly take responsibility for electing this man, and what he does in the next four years, if for once one of you would take responsibility for what your party has done to this country.

When I saw then Senator Obama speak in 2004 for the first time I made up my mind then he thought like I did; enough war, enough hate, enough of the Bush's in the WH.
When I saw Palin speak during the Couric interview, I knew then she was a dimwit and not someone I could or would support under any circumstances.
No one taught me to hate her or to love Obama, I learned it on my own based on their words and actions.
Palin is her own worst enemy and got where she is by acting like a high school spoiled girl who when is not getting her way, lashes out at those who are not "loyal" to her and hires all her high school buddies and none of them dare speak against her for they know the wrath of Palin; just ask Levi.
Obama has only been in office for four months and has started to make a difference. What he got handed by eight years of Bush is going to take a lot longer than four months t6o repair, including most importantly the perception of the US around the world. When I hear Obama haters like you it only makes me feel one thing, you don't like him because he doesn't fit your mold. Period. But you will never admit your racist views and will keep on mouthing off to any one who does not support Palin. Talk about drinking the Kool aid....

It's just too bad that your "facts" are just as skewed and untrue as your thoughts of Palin are. The jobless rate really hit a tale spin over a year ago - Bush's fault. Bush (his appointees to federal oversight positions) allowed investment firms to teeter on collapse.

You keep referring to President Obama's inexperience yet he has served to country for years. Not to mention, by your "logic" McCain has the same lack of executive experience as Obama.

Did YOU vote for an inexperienced candidate? If so, you have no right talking about Governor Palin who is a targeted enemy by the Democratic Party. That's a 'do good' lady and her record proves it. It's not Palin that I'm standing up for. I'd stand up for anyone who is unjustifiably labeled ... even any of YOU. It's the 'right' thing to do. And that 'talking point' about Bush ... Well, HE'S GONE. Let it go, okay?

A "do good lady"? How do you explain that, as Mayor of Wasilla she cut the law enforcement budget so much that they had to charge rape victims and their insurance companies for rape kits? How do you explain her making false accusation about a state trooper (who is still a state trooper) and fired a police cheif for not firing him. How do you explain much of her race bating speeches?

Your comments show more and more that you are not some kind of enlightened sole who has found the way in the GOP.

Your references to Governor Palin and President Obama thinly veil your racism and bigotry. You are a sad, sad person.

Yes, one brain-dead was voted into the WH. Easily misled People 'hate' when they;re told to hate. Stop and think what is happening to America. We now have the New Black Panthers, radical muslims & the KKK springing up causing homeland security threats to our country.

Let's stop the meanness & hate that is growing in our country by not ALLOWING these politicians to pull us into their petty fights of turning one party against the other. The People need to stick together to oversee 'how' these very politicians are serving the VOTES that got them there in the first place.

So you are blaming the rise of the KKK, radical Muslims, the new Black Panters because our President tells us to have racist bigoted idealogies? That is the most backward statement I have read in a long time.

You state the MSM is owned by our President yet you provide no evidence. You state that much of the (vast majority) of opinions on this forum about Sarah Palin is hate because people on the left are angry, spiteful and full of hate because President Obama has pulled them into that frame of mind. Again no supportive evidence.

Yet there is plenty of supportive evidence that people in the GOP and those on the right on TV and radio are using race based, bigotted comments. There have only been people from the right - James Von Brunn, the murderer of Dr. Tiller, the white supremecists that were plotting to kill our President and many others - who have acted on the "hate" that has been projected from the right.
