People here they say Princess Letizia´s shoes are "Clunky" and look like "plastic", well Princess Letizia wears wonderfull shoes in my opinion. She loves platforms and tower heels, despite she is not short at all around 1.70cm. She always uses Spanish shoes like MANOLO BLANHIK, PURA LOPEZ, PACO GIL, ARMAND BASI, GINO VAELLO, SARA NAVARRO, REBECA SANVER, PABLO FUSTER,...of course they´re not plastic, but some of the most famous designers in the world...
It´s a pity than some people just think shoes are good because they have more publicity...example Tod´s, or Laboutin...

My favorite picture of princess Letizia is missing: http://www.diariodelaltoaragon.es/Fotos/A20090310145112765.jpg

She is definitely not like Grace Kelly because Letizia is educated and cultured, she went to university, she has a post-graduate degree, she loves books, Grace Kelly was just very pretty.

I would have to disagree, I think Princess Letizia has very poor taste, and often wears the most cheap shoes and accesories. I find absolutely nothing enviable about Letizia who shops at places I don't even shop - Zara and Mango.
While we are talking royalty and fashion/style, remarkable women are Queen Rania of Jordan, Princess Mary of Denmark, Marie-Chantal of Greece and maybe the Monaco ladies... Notably Princess Mary has in the last few years as princess managed to create an amazingly sophisticated yet quite ground-breaking style, and she has also put danish designers on the map, designers like Malene Birger that I never knew about but discovered through her. She combines danish designers with big international ones and her favourites seem to be Prada, Chloé, Hugo Boss. A very gracefull woman who has the potential to be a real trendsetter and a new very of Princess Diana perhaps ?

Dear SugarJane, I´d never wrote anything in here...but I´d never read something as unrespectful before. If you think someone using ZARA, MANGO, MASSIMO DUTTI, is not smart, you just show you have absolutelly nothing interesting to say about fashion and style. First of all, SPAIN is a modern country, Letizia is a very intelligent and hardworker woman. She is doing very important changes in Spain, and she is always using Spanish disigners from Haute Couture like PERTEGAZ, BALENCIAGA, VARELA to another new designers like AMAYA ARZUAGA, ARMAND BASI or JUSEP FONT....Sorry SourJane you are trés demodé!!!!

I personally do not like some of the brands she wears, no. That's just a matter of taste. And If that is your opinion that's Okay, but i would highly disagree with you on "not having anything to say about fashion" as it is one of my biggest interest , and something I work with every single day. It's great for Letizia that she uses spanish designers but I only knew about some and I do not like those, and with all due respect, I have never liked spanish designers much, with the exception of Manolo Blanhik, I prefer French, Italian and American and since she never wears any of that, oh well, her fashion style just isn't my taste. No need for the exclamation points, be civil please.

"I find absolutely nothing enviable about Letizia who shops at places I don't even shop - Zara and Mango."

Boy, do you sound snobbish. If you can afford haute couture clothes, good for you. But wearing clothes righ off the Paris or Milan runway doesn't make anyone a trendsetter. It just means the wearer has money. All the women you mentioned wear top designers' clothes well. That make them fashion followers, not trendsetters.

Audrey Hepburn was a trendsetter. She, not any designers, made simple turtle-necks, capri pants, trench coasts, ballerina flats fashionable. She inspired designers. She didn't just wear whatever designers come up with. No other women since has as much influence on fashion. Diana wasn't a fashion trend-setter either. She dressed very dowdy and conservative clothes in most part of her marriage. Only after her divorce, she started wearing more fashionable clothes but she didn't really set any trends that last.

At this point, I wouldn't call Letizia a trendsetter either. However, she does give her country's designers far more exposure than any other princesses have done for theirs. She also has a more individualistic flare than other women you mentioned. She doesn't just follow the fashion trends. I'll visit Spain soon. I can get a sense whether she sets fashion trends in Spain.

I completely agree with you - being rich doesn't make anyone a fashion icon. And I did not say that she was a trendsetter but that she has the potential to be one - and seeing how she dresses, accesorizes in a, in my opinion, innovative way, I stick to that opinion :) And yes, I probably did make a mistake concerning Diana being a trendsetter. What I think I meant was a woman who puts not so famous designers on the map just like Diana did with many british designers.
And FYI, I'm not rich at all - but you don't have to be a billionaire to not shop at H&M, Zara and Mango- it's just about taste, and I personally do not find those labels appealing at all. I can not afford Birkin bags and Louboutin shoes, but there are so many labels that are stylish and good quality but still affordable! Affordable isn't just Zara and H&M.

A beautiful woman, I want to make her a sandwich.

She's gorgeous and very classy. Good for her!

She is too thin especially when you contrast pictures of her prior to her marriage and before her first pregnancy. I think she took the 'lose the baby weight' too seriously.

She has great style, but she's way too skinny. Add another 20 pounds and she'll be the epitome of class.

There are two dresses that don't look flattering on her at all, but everything else looks great on her.

She'd be stunning if she gained at least 20 pounds. Too skinny, but very pretty.
