Jennifer Aniston Honored At Film Gala, Jokes Love Life (PHOTOS)

Jennifer Aniston accepted top honors -the Crystal Award - at the Women in Film Crystal Lucy Awards in LA Friday night.

WIF is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women within the global entertainment, communications and media industries and to preserving the legacy of women within those industries.

Onstage to accept, Aniston joked how her film roles have parallel her life, reports Us.

"I have a strange parallel with movies I was doing and my life off screen. First, it was The Good Girl...which evolved into Rumor Has It, followed by Derailed," she said, perhaps making a quip about her marriage with Brad Pitt, who left her for Angelina Jolie. "Then there was The Breakup," she continued...

"If anyone has a movie called Everlasting Love With an Adult Stable Man, that would be great!" Aniston joked. "I'm at table six, and my agents are at table 12."

Also present were Jodie Foster, Chelsea Handler, Holly Hunter and Blythe Danner.

She has won numerous acting awards (Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG). She has formed her own production company so that she can play a variety of roles. I think she understands that she has been type cast and would like to do more than just Rachel Green type characters. I like her.

She has not expanded anything for women other than pity for "damsels in distress who just can't seem to find a man" ... please! She has mastered the victim role and "look at poor little me." This woman is really sad. It's been 5 years since her divorce and she still obsesses about Brad. She has no charitable interests. Every year she claims she is going to start a family, and every year she doesn't. She is totally self-absorbed and selfish. What has she done for any other person, organization or group? Nothing.

Sorry, I have nothing against Anniston and I actually liked her in Good Girl, but she does not have a body of movie work to warrant ANY award!

People love gossip. Jennifer Aniston was married to one of the biggest movie stars on the planet (Brad Pitt) and they split *supposedly* because of another huge movie star (Jolie) and Aniston *supposedly* not wanting to start a family with Pitt. She has made a name for herself because of Brad Pitt and all that drama. Do you all think we would give a rat's behind about Jennifer Aniston if all that had never happened? She'd be as insignificant as Lisa Kudrow or Courtney Cox. She keeps herself in the news and on the radar of Hollywood because she keeps talking about Pitt and Jolie even 4 years after the fact. That's pathetic, but obviously her way of keeping herself in the public eye.

Yeah, 10 years on the number one TV show and having the leads in a whole bunch of movies, including one (The Breakup) that finished in the top ten for the year. That has absolutely nothing to do with all the publicity. She's an actress, it's her job to stay in the public eye. That's what gets her the next job. She looks great. I sense a bit of jealousy in your post.

Oh, and Brad Pitt has had ONE hit in many, many years, as a lead. And Benjamin Button didn't do all that well at the boxoffice. If you go by only reviews, Aniston has done very well. So your argument really holds no water.
