I love how the Cub fans fall for this every year. It's becoming a tradition!
Just like the tradition of bailing out Sox fans from Town Hall because they got lost on the way to the L stop.
And if you look at the links under this article, there are lots of other articles just like this one. Sports "journalists" fall for it every year as well.
Mark Cuban could bring the Cubs, Wrigley Field & Chicago into the 21st century. If the Tribs bankruptcy gets worse, the Cubs, Reds, Pirates, Braves will end up in Japan. The White Sox, Nationals, A's & an AL team to be named later will move to Japan too. Chicago will be a no-paper, no MLB club, no non-stop airline service from & to the west coast & the east coast. Chicago is in the middle of the rust belt. Soon Chicago will be in fly-over country. All because the lords of MLB can't stand Mark Cuban. At least Chicago will have a reason for Chicago's fall into oblivion. Chicago baseball fans can go to St Louis or Milwaukee for a MLB fix. It won't be too bad Chicagoland. The St Louis Post Dispatch will publish a N Il ed; Chicago will, at last, have daily access to a good regional paper. If the LAT folds-the Post Dispatch may become a newspaper of record. The Trib & the Sun-Times were lousy papers with no chance of becoming reliable local papers.
Mayor Daily is rehersing, "Don't Cry for Me, Chicago." for the Cubs's going away party. No, you're not getting the Olympics either. Chicago is dead.
Has Cuban ever won anything? Nope. He is a loser as well. This entire Tribune/Cub deal has made Sam Zell look, well, over the hill. Kind of like Wrigley Field.
I particularly like the wire mesh at Wrigley that prevents large chunks of cement from falling on your head.
When the sun is high in the sky and the mercury hits 90+, the prevailing west wind provides an amusing aroma all the way down to Pine Grove. But that smell still is not as bad as the stink from 35th and Shields.
Go Cubs!
:)
You talking about the world champion White Sox? The Cubs are in the late stages of a 101 year rebuilding plan. How's that working?
Half the Cubs fans are puking too.
Especially the ones in the bleechers.
lol
I agree Osvaldo! The smell of 100 year old urine, along with the variety of one foot rats that reside in Wrigley Field , is enough to make any grown man puke. May the best team win.
The place does stink.
Ha! I love it. It's Ozzie's little pre-Classic tradition.
