$400,000 Necklace Missing From Lindsay Lohan Photo Shoot

LOS ANGELES — A spokeswoman for Lindsay Lohan says the actress has not been questioned by London police investigating jewelry that went missing after a fashion shoot there.

Lohan spokeswoman Leslie Sloane-Zelnik said Tuesday that Lohan has not been contacted by authorities but would comply in an investigation if necessary. She also noted that nearly 20 people were working at the Elle magazine photo shoot featuring the 22-year-old.

London's Metropolitan police confirmed Tuesday that a necklace and earrings worth more than $400,000 were missing from a studio in north London in early June.

The fashion magazine said in a statement Tuesday it had no reason to believe that Lohan was in any way linked to the alleged theft. A police spokesman said no arrests have been made and would not comment on whether Lohan had been interviewed or was even related to the case in any way.

He spoke on condition of anonymity in line with police policy.

It wouldn't be the first time she stole from someone. She stole some girls fur coat from a club and wouldn't give it back until police and lawyers were involved. She's also been selling all her jewelery according to those celeb shows so it would make sense.... Although until there is proof you can't really blame her but to believe she would have something to do with this is not really a stretch.

With her past thefts, like you said, it isn't a stretch. AND just because she is Lindsay Lohan, I would NOT exclude her as a suspect. NO WAY. I would leave her right in there and investigate her right along with everyone else. She isn't above the law and she isn't above stealing which her past already demonstrates.

Louis Vuitton said she stole their clothes back in 2007 from a photo shoot she did coincidentally for Elle. They said they will never lent clothes to her for a photo shoot again. I guess she thinks when she does the Elle shoots everything is free. I guess the Elle people should tell her that its a photo shoot and not a gifting suite.

I wouldn't be surprised if she took it - she hasn't made a movie in over 3 years, and the last I heard she is uninsurable for a movie - which means she won't be making a flick anytime soon. $400k would probably cover her mortgage for most of the year. Regardless, if the magazine seriously thinks she stole it, this will probably mess up the kinda work she can still get: modeling gigs.
