Consumer Financial Protection: Obama To Call For New Agency

President Barack Obama on Wednesday will call for the creation of a Consumer Financial Protection Agency as part of his long-awaited plan for overhauling the nation's market regulatory structure in response to last year's meltdown, administration officials tell POLITICO.

If there is one thing that never fails to amaze me is how different groups across this country point fingers and blame the other side. The consumer needs protections and they need them badly. How is it that we are able to fight wars all around this world, but we are unable to silence an unscrupulous boiler room selling phony car warranties? Insurance companies that laugh in your faces while refusing to honor their commitments. The list of these losers to society is very long indeed. If our elected politicians would stand up to these b.-sturds, as Obama is trying to do, perhaps events could change some. I know that if things remain the same as they are now, the sham wow dudes will be picking up their teeth from some parking lots. This rampant dishonesty has got to end.

Obama is not trying to stand up to these people. All Obama wants is more government and less freedom. When Obama broke bankrupcy law to give Chrysler to the Unions instead of the Indiana pension fund he did not do it for you he did it because the Unions helped him get elected. When he illegally fired the Inspector General of Ameri Corp he did not do it for you but to protect a friend and long time campaign contributor. When Obama has 16 Czars that are not confirmed by congress or voted on by the people, that have executive privilege and only reports to Obama he does not do this for you but for more power. These Czars control over a trillion dollars of taxpayer money and spend it without any oversight.
Obama is doing this in front of everyone and to many Americans are saying yes take more power take more rights take more of our freedoms just give us piece of mind not to worry about health care not to worry about paying our mortgage, not to worry about working. Too many Americans are saying take my money, take the money of the rich and of business. Is that what you all want because that will destroy the America we know and there will just two classes the workers class, us, and the government class, our politicians. The later will have all the perks, money, and power.

Obama wants transparency what a joke. If so why did he illegally fire the Inspector General for America Corps. This inspector general found that bailout money was missused by the mayor of Sacramento who is a friend of Obama. The Inspector General firing procedure is as follows the president notifies Congress for the reason of the firing and then there is a 30 day wait period. Not this time fired in 24 hours. How many times do we let Obama break the law. There is no transparency just a massive government take over of this country.

I saw the interview with Inspector General Gerald Walrpin and can not imagine what arguments anybody can use to defend Mr. Obama on this one.

I have read this article and what I got out of it is that the Mayor had misused funds but the democrats thought it not a big deal. Second there is a law that was passed in 2008 and co-sponsored by President Obama that an Inspector General to be fired congress has to be notified, then there is a 30 day waiting period. Obama did not do this. He can fire anyone he wants but needs to follow the law to do so. This law was made so undue political influence could not be put on Inspector Generals and they could do their jobs. But that only seems to apply when some politicians are being investigated.
