iPorn Girls Enliven Apple Conference (SLIDESHOW)

Not content to let its bikini-clad publicity stunt last week speak for itself, adult entertainment industry-focused hedge fund AdultVest has put out a press release, complete with photos of its sexy spokesmodels enticing attendees at an Apple developer's conference in San Francisco.

AdultVest sent the five "iPorn Girls" to the Worldwide Developer's Conference to flog its iPorn mobile Web application for the iPhone.

I suppose people have the right to porn but it is disturbing this event happen at a developer's conference. Computer science/IT is a male dominated profession where women are having a tough time being taken seriously. Recently at 2 other developer's conferences pornography was used in technical presentations that had nothing to do with coding. We are trying to get rid of the view in IT that women are only good for sex and are serious software developers.

If the majority of people waiting in line were females, then you would have seen the iPorn Speedo Men - and I doubt that anyone would have taken the men developers at the conference any less seriously (unless of course they were Microsoft employees). Do you actually think that you, as a female, were taken less seriously at that conference because there were iPorn Bikini Girls promoting the iPorn web app? I think you are overreacting.

If IPorn is a FREE application for the IPhone that provides Free sexual content, are there commercials in between the clips? I mean, where is the money made? Is it just five second clips of rated X videos with the hopes that once you see the clip you'll pay to buy the entire video? This article should have at least mentioned the business plan of this particular product.

I'm a beautiful woman with both my JD and MBA and I absolutely think this is amazing! Infact i think its one of the most Brilliant marketing stunts I've ever seen. I think iPorn was incredibly smart to have pulled this off. I just sent in my resume - hopefully to join their marketing department. As for the girls, i am sure they are all there of their own free will. There's nothing wrong with a beautiful woman who knows how to use her sexuality to make money and get ahead. Every woman does it, and every man loves it, only few acknowledge that it goes on, but it does every day... Get over it!!

I've attended many of these conferences, and the bikini clad female or provacatively dressed female is often used to bait prospects to booths. Sex sells in America, and ironically the party which is suspose to be the one trumpeting family values is often the same one using the world's oldest profession to gain a business edge.

Fantasy is a big part of the American myth, and it allows some to believe they are upstanding folks while using some of the most sexually charged images to push their business ideas. Delusion is America.

I cannot believe I am even commenting on this farce; the fact that people are making claims as to how this will sell ipods? What a joke! We already know that sex sells everything, so what else is new? i just feel sorry for these poor women that are used for this cheap shot ad.

The fact that this stupid stunt will boost sales of iopds ???? Are people really that stupid ??? Sure it will boost sales . . . for only the stupid that are affected by it at the moment.
