Every day a new program, a solution to a new crisis, a new spending program, and a new czar. No focus nor priorities. Those who have worked with executives who are bouncing off every wall, playing pinball, know the outcome of such erratic leadership. Few things get done, very poorly. The wheels fall off everything.

It would be nice to see him take a deep breath and maybe do nothing for a couple days.

Your house is worth $125,000 but you paid $250,000 don"t worry with "Mark-To-Market" Neutered you can say whatever you want to about your home value and no one can refute you!
Now when you go in for a loan, simply declare the house is worth $300,000 and along with your clean "ON-THE-BOOKS Balance Sheet" with no visible other debts means you get money from the FED at 1% interest or maybe less!
Why can"t this world be true for ALL AMERICANS like it is for Wall Street?
We do not own Congress and they DO using ill-gotten FUNDS!
Are the Wall Street Banks really healthy? With "OFF-THE-BOOKS" accounting and "MARK-TO-MARKET" Neutered who knows what the truth is!

Healthcare is our number one long term financial disaster that takes precedence over everything else. It's bankrupting not only patients like the one below but our country as a whole.

Take back the trillions of $$$ given to the banks, who just sit on it and make it totally ineffective then start government incentive to create realistic industries that give employment and generate real productive income, some of which would hopefully be from exports.

Every other country, especially China and most of Europe have goverment incentives to protect it's industries. No matter what you call it it's a form of protectionism and its inevitable. We should stop being naive and take care of our own house. The only ones who win if we don't are the multinational corporations who don't care where they get their hand out.

I am glad to see Obama backing off the bank overhaul. He is really doing a good job as president.

I am quite sure that Congress can "multi-task" if it wants to.

I am also quite sure that they are being BRIBED hundreds of millions of dollars a month to "bury" it.

See this is why people on the left get on my nerves frankly. They really want EVERYTHING to be done at the same time. Healthcare, financial regulations, climate control lets just have a all night congress session and we will just whip through it all at one point. Cause goodness knows we dont need to see if we are doing too much if its going to put a strain on our economy who cares about that as long as we get all the BIG THINGS DONE PRONTO.

I'm just glad some of you are NOT the President because we would be in a depression with 35% unemployment the way you all want to do EVERYTHING at once. Big things that impact a Fragile economy you want to do with one snap of the pen. Apparently we all could do with extending our minds just a tad

There is no time to waste. Middle and lower class are in bad shape and losing jobs daily. 30 years of pretty much nothing but politicians patting each other on the back for doing nothing. It is time to get to work.

This is what I mean about extending your mind. Let give you a scenario what if rolling out the bank regulation serve to tighten credit even more what if you throw healthcare reform and cap and trade regulations on top of that and the economy spins out of control. What do you do then. Let me guess it wont spin out of control you can magically do all these things and the economy will grow. Take GM for example everyone was calling for President Obama to let GM go into bankruptcy this is around the time when the economy was spinning out of control. What do you suppose would happen if he had let GM go into bankruptcy then when the economy was spinning out of control. It would have send it spinning even further and digging into a deeper hole. We are NOT out of the woods You simply cant do all these big things at the same time in a weak economy. THats why presidents are elected for 4 years. If they could successfully solve everything in 6 months they would have elected them for a year. What is wrong in saying lets put off the banking regulations until next year and work on healthcare and climate change now. Doesnt that sound sensible to you?

Obama is rapidly becoming a beacon of the far right out of political expediency and needs to snap out of his coma. The Republicans stand for anything that is against ordinary Americans.

Bill Maher has it right. Time to walk over the Republicans and the DINO'S and get some results on his campaign promises. Health care is going the way of the dodo bird and Cuba will rank ahead of the U.S. world wide in couple of years when it comes to health care.

But I thought the messiah had solved the credit crisis, the employment crisis and middle east peace? All in only six months time. This is a man who can solve anything in one week to move on to the next world problem. This man was annointed, sent by God according to Nancy Pelosi. All the tv networks and newspapers sang his praise. Remember the rock star status in Germany? What gives? YOU said he could do it all, well.....................................................................

What gives is he has to work with the corrupt dummies in congress

No, as Bill Maher said, Obama just needs to stop going for the broad base for programs that Republicans will never support and use his majorities to push through health care (with a public plan), serious environmental regulations, and financial reforms that reinstall the old controls that worked for 50 years.

Enough dithering already!

I hope financial regulation doesn't take a backseat. Especially regulation when it comes to CEO's compensation. Personally, I that the ever widening gap between the elite few and the average employee is more of a reason to be concern than either healthcare or climate control. Look at history, which one is more likely to cause a revolution. Greed and Corruption in corporations and the executives who run the corporations.

Climate control would be my second concern. Healthcare reform my last concern. But for those of us who don't want to see regulation taking less priorty go to www.house.gov and email as many representatives as possible. Democrat and Republican.

I am tired of seeing the corporate giants win, it is not time to give up this fight. It is time for change, I don't believe all of the hype that states that America is willing to let corporate America off the hotseat as of yet.

If you are unemployed, start a petition remind government that they are there for you.
