NEW YORK — Comedy Central says "Daily Show" correspondent Jason Jones is reporting from Iran for a week of dispatches titled, "Access of Evil."

His reports will air on the spoof news program anchored by Jon Stewart beginning Monday.

Jones' dispatches, taped the past month, find him interviewing a cross-section of society, including an Iranian family, an underground rapper and a feminist blogger. He also attends a speech by President Ahmadinejad (ah-muh-DEE'-neh-zhahd).

"The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" airs weeknights at 11 p.m. EDT on Comedy Central.

Fear not about Jason & Samantha leaving. Although they bring tremendous laughs to the show they can be replaced. TDS is the new SNL. No matter who leaves they always find someone funny to replace them. I never thought they could replace Stephen Colbert/Steve Carrell but when was the last time you actually remember they were even on the show.

This segment was great.....again the Daily Show and Colbert Report are making contributions to the political dialogue on the Middle East. Though Colbert's reporting from Iraq was a bit jingoistic it still went a long way to boost the morale of those stationed there. Last night's JJ segment from Iran was timely and an honest portrayal of an Iranian family.Really sweet.

Tonights segment was great. That family seemed so nice and the little girl was such a cutie pie!

I LOVE IT!!! In the past TDS would have remote reports against a backdrop designed to look like a scene in the country of the report. Now, Colbert has gone to Iraq, and Jason is REALLY in Iran. Fake news is getting less fake. Just like real news is getting less real.

Somebody pass me another Margarita, please.

An people like to knock the Daily Show. Here's an idea... why doesn't Bill O'Reilly send his producer Jesse Waters to Iran? He can stand outside the Ayatollah's residence and berate him with inconsequential partisan questions when Khamenei emerges for the day.

I'm so tired of even joking about republicans posing as stewards of courage when they're all cowards. It's kind of boring actually.

Because if Fox sent journalists over the truth will refute all their lies.

Is this news today? I have already seen at least two segments on the show--one where he is at Ahmadinejad's pre-election rally and another on the motorcycle. I look forward to seeing others.

Aren't he and his wife supposed to have a new sitcom this year? If so, I will really miss that crazy guy on The Daily Show.

I thought of him with all heck broke loose and hoped he was back. I'm guessing he is and has been working on these pieces. His wife, fellow Daily Show comic, Samantha Bee, must have been quite relieved to have him home.
