Jim Cramer: "Everybody Wishes Obama Would Just Kind Of Go Away" (VIDEO)

First Posted: 7/19/09 Updated: 5/25/11

Here's a video of Jim Cramer, kicking it with Joe Scarborough, on the issue of healthcare reform. At the ready is a "stunning" poll indicating that Americans were more concerned with paying down deficits than they are about stimulating the economy. Chances are, those Americans are under the impression that the economy is already stimulated, and that attention rightly should be paid now to combating deficits down the line. Naturally, Scarborough turns this into an issue of health care reform: "Don't you think," Scarborough asks Cramer, "that this puts the Obama administration behind the eight ball on health care?" Hey, maybe a poll on support for health care reform would be a better way of placing the issue in context? Probably!

But Cramer insists, without evidence, that "when Americans hear health care reform, it just means tax increases." No chance that Americans think it might just mean, "Oh! You mean I might be able to afford asthma inhalers for my family, and what not?" Not at all! In fact, according to Cramer: "Until we get the economy moving again, I think everybody wishes that Obama would just kind of go away for a little bit."

Seems like only yesterday that the media was telling us that everyone wanted Obama to work on the economy and nothing else, forever. But now it's time to "go away." Surely, this is indeed what "everybody" wants!

Who gave Jim Cramer the authority to speak for anyone other than himself, Anyone foolish enough to have followed Cramer's financial advise would probably by delighted to assist Mr. Cramer's departure. I have a problem with elected officials standing up the attesting to the will of the American people so I certainly do not want a baffoon like Cramer speaking for me on any subject.

I haven't watched CNBC since that other financial genius did his Obama shout out and later blamed his wife for his unseemly outburst; They know nothing. I've lost all respect for Cramer and CNBC..

People did listen and did what this clown told them to do with there money, until the bottom fill out. Now people are looking at him and saying “what a shmuck”. Nobody takes him seriously anymore. His ratings prove that! So, to get attention he does these crazy antics. Ahhh live tv, isn’t it grand?

I think Jon Stewart should filet this guppy again.

You might as well ask a random clown/party entertainer to come on and give his opinion on the issue.

Seriously does Cramer think before he speaks. He is on national television telling Obama to just go away. I don't listen to the guy any way he lost alot of respect after his interview with Jon Stewert.

Why is it that all of these commentators focus like cramer spew bogus statements such as this one? With 65% of Americans supporting the President,im thinking Jim and his Wall Street cronies are thinking the changes that ARE coming to these institutions of greed and sharing the wealth rhats left in the minuscule way that it will happen is too much to bear.....That Scarborough and his show was once respected by me and my friends, but now its total fake bullhockey talk for three worthless hours daily.....Whatever happened to Dylan Hartigan?

Wishing CNBC would just go away.

He's wishing Obama would go away, is he blind? Obama has gone away from the debate in every possible way, he's nowhere to be seen, Obama can't even pass meaningful regulation. Why? When will people, even people who voted for him, start asking Why? Why no health care? Why no climate change? Why no real economic reform? Why is it that our government can't pass what we want?
07:55 AM on 06/22/2009
Why are people like you still asking this question? The answer is because the Republicans are doing everything in their power to make this administration fail. They don't care about Americans, they don't care about the country, they only care about seeing this administration fail.

Your comments are unfair and untrue unreasonable. Why no health care? Ask your congressman.
No climate change? Ask your congressman. No regulation? Ask your congressman. Chances are, he is standing there in the way whining because his party in reduced to a minority and can no longer pillage the country.

To say that people don't care about Americans because of their political party is asinine and hateful. Both democrats and republicans care about the American people, they just have different opinions as to how that can be achieved, and many of those opinions are wrong ON BOTH SIDES.

Seriously, why is every poster here so hateful?

I voted for Obama. When doing so, I realized that he was not going to be able to immediately do everything he promises. He's not running a dictatorship. It's not as if he can say, "this is what we are going to do, don't like it? tough!" It doesn't work like that.

The only thing this guy is good at is getting his a** handed to him by John Stewart! This guy should go away and take CNBC with him. What a joke of a channel!
