China Disables Google Functions Over Porn Links

The Chinese government disabled some search engine functions on the Chinese-language Web site of Google on Friday, saying the site was linking too often to pornographic and vulgar content.

the Chinese do not have a free society.......kissing up to them for business is perhaps unavoidable...but allowing them to censor world wide media in the attempt to keep their people ignorant ..that is not to be permitted...for any reason.....we should all boycott chinese products...until China become an open society. somehow i don't see Wall Mart going along with that....

Good luck with that boycott. Since the Reagan era, US manufacturing has been offshored to the point where there are no longer any substitutes for buying certain items from China.
