Shia Defends His Mom Comments, Talks 'Indiana Jones' And 'Wall Street'

Shia LaBeouf defended comments he made about his mom and said he may be doing another 'Indiana Jones' movie in an interview with 'Extra!' that is airing Monday night.

He also dished about the 'Wall Street' sequel in which he'll costar with Michael Douglas.

In Playboy, LaBeouf says, "Probably the sexiest woman I know is my mother." Now, he responds to the public's reaction to this comments and says everyone misunderstood:

"It was Mother's Day coming up and I don't have any problems appearing crazy to make my mother smile, but she is the most beautiful woman on this planet and I love her. She's fly as hell. I stand by that. My mom's awesome....I think the sickness is also on the other end to be able to twist the words and make it as ridiculous as that. Clearly, I'm not having sex with my mother. It's ridiculous."

On another Indiana Jones film:

"I'm an actor for hire. I have no control in terms of that movie. Last I heard they're making progress in terms of the story. I know Harrison [Ford] is fired up to get back in there as soon as possible and George [Lucas] and Steven [Spielberg] want to make another one...They're making progress but nothing is definite about it. "

On the Wall Street sequel:

"We're deep in prep now. We start in August... It's definitely going to be different. Just the financial landscape is very different. We're talking about the crime of the century...It's a crime. Blatant crime...In this financial climate, it's very relevant."

Oh pleeease. Shia is a young, very talented actor. He's had an unusual childhood. So what? He didn't say he "watched" his parents having sex, he said he saw them having sex. Maybe if more people were comfortable with being naked and having their children seeing them naked the world would be a better place. Americans are sooo untight about naked bodies. Shia rocks.

There is nothing wrong with saying "my mom is beautiful". In fact, it's awesome that he would love his mom enough to say such a thing.

But for him to say comments like "she's fly as hell" and "I saw my parents having sex" - that's just gross dude. Strange.

I like Shia, although I hated his character in Indiana Jones... Which brings me to this: It took Lucas, Spielberg and Ford 20 years to make the latest Indiana Jones, which BOMBED, and now they are ready to make another one ASAP?

I can only hope they are looking to make up for the tragicomedy of the Crystal Skull.

While I'm no fan of the film or the actor particularly I have to call your attention to the fact that the "Jones" film did over 700 million at the box office -hardly a bomb- Which is why everyone who had a piece of the action wants to do another- (I'm sure this includes the "actors" and producers.

If he wants people to think he loves his mother, he should say, "My Mom is the greatest, I love my Mom," not, "I saw my parents have sex ... my mother and her friends went arount the house naked ... Since Shia reminds me of the boys I used to crush on in my youth, I'm inclined to give him some language leway, especially since he is young and uses the word choice of the youth. And what better way to describe your cool mother than with cool words?

Aside from just loving his mother, maybe he actually likes her as a person. I consider her looks to be average (like your average hippy chick mom and not some Hollywood surgically enhanced housewife), but for all we know she may be a very cool lady. She might be very savvy under the broom skirts and hemp. Afterall, she raised a hard working kid.

If he says she's fly (as hell, mind you!), I believe him.

He obviously didn't mean for his comments to come out like they did. He was paying a compliment to his mother, although it did come across a bit bizarre. He's like Megan Fox, they both seem to want to appear "edgy" and offbeat in interviews.
