Politico:

Teddy Kennedy cut a 30-second spot for his old friend Chris Dodd, who has been representing him in health care negotiations.

Kennedy, looking strong and fit despite his recent battle with cancer, says, "Quality health care as a fundamental right for all Americans has been the cause of my life, and Chris Dodd has been my closest ally in this fight."

Dear Senators Kennedy and Dodd,

We FOUND the $TRILLION in SAVINGS we needed!

It seems the Budget Office did their $1 Trillion Short Fall Estimate assuming NO PUBLIC OPTION in their calculations. Amazing!

Insurance Companies charge 1,500% more for Administrative FEES than Medicare, so
there is at least a $Trillion Dollars in Savings with the Competition created using the Public Option.

The Public Option will be great for controlling the SINGLE-PROF1TEER Insurers!

Public Option is fully Funded and ready SO YOU can help keep Obama's PROMISES to ALL AMERICANS!

Sincerely, The CBO Checker

P.S.:

2.1% Administrative Fees for Medicare
30% Administrative Fees for Insurance Companies

So Insurance Companies charge 15 TIMES or 1,500% more than Medicare, or 27.9% MORE and that is $Trillions!

The Senate is just like the House of Lords. It was created to slow down majority rule. The early Republic didn't trust majority rule and set up several road-blocks to slow it down. I won't be the first to think we should dissolve it.

Ted Kennedy the great health care advocate, has not even come out for a public option, let alone what would really save the economy which is single payer. And here he is bailing out Chris Dodd. Dodd the guy who signed off on letting the TARP banks decide what their executive compensation packages should be. Lord love a duck.

I actually feel sorry Al Capp isn't here to see this.

Senator Dodd is indeed corrupt, but that particular charge was proven false. When you repeat something that has already been debunked, it makes the real charges harder to stick.

Ted needs to come out with an ad for public healthcare. He is the strongest and best advocate to move people to action.

Dodd can't raise any money in his own state and has to get it from outside Conn. and now he has to get help from allies in the Senate.

His campaign is in trouble. I hope he enjoyed the "sweetheart" mortgage he got from his pal Angelo at Countrywide.

I know Ted Kennedy's acting out of the premise of "the devil you know", but Chris Dodd really doesn't deserve another term. It's time Democratic voters get a REAL Democrat to replace the two currently in Connecticut, two not beholden to the financial and health insurance industries, or allegiance to another country.

I hope Kennedy stays with us long enough to win this fight. It is right and just for all Americans.

Why? He gave us the HMO act. This man bears tremendous responsibility for the healthcare situation today. I personally do not trust him to protect me from the beast he created.
