The best one would be a shaved crotch ( no fur ) and yes Alicia Silverstone would be great. Or Heather Locklear.

The exploitation of human sexuality for the promotion of either commercial or political messages is embarrassingly transparent, cynical, and beneath any organization that would call itself "progressive."

Second, Sex is great. But sexuality and sex appeal are so much more plural and complex than these stereotypical, very conventional images of women-- and the concomitant assumptions about men being easily manipulated by sexual stimulation-- admit.

Lastly, if my daughter were ever to become a vegetarian, I would hope it's because she thought about the ecological and economic realities of meat production, not because she thinks it's "sexy."

One of the most suggestive, hottest pics on the interwebs:

I hope all you people proclaiming sexism also take the time to complain to beer companies, clothing companies,, etc that use sex to sell a product.

The reality is that you clicked on this article with the nudity, but I doubt you'd click on videos of horrific animal suffering and would rather not think about how your choices (food, products, clothing) harm others.

I believe all the women in these ads are highly succesful ,confident and empowered .
Anyone who has worked in an office or factory ( with normal folk ) would know that the stereotype of the anti fur/animal rights supporter is the hairy armpit butch lesbian.
These women are countering that stereotype by showing that being conscious about animal rights doesnt mean you are a sexless drone. It is appealing to a base stereotype itself , of course it is, but that is the point - they are trying to reach out to the majority of the population - the average joe who works in a factory or an office , not a well informed progressive who is already converted to the cause.

Peace.

I think you are extremely dismissive of people who work in offices and factories, characterizing them as dumb and culturally secluded. It shouldnt surprise anyone to find out that many beautiful women are vegetarians. The issue is that PETA believes in the dignity of animals over the dignity of women. In this capacity women's bodies are vehicles for a cause. The celebrities who do these ads like Khloe Kardashian typically do it to up their star power. What if the Red Cross did these kinds of ads? Would that be acceptable?

That is a real failing of an organization that strives to do good things - they get caught up in the whole ethics issue that takes them to a ridiculous level that no one outside of that small group can get their minds around. PETA should leave insects out of their arguments and stick to protecting animal rights, a cause that has true merit.

i agree animals are for grilling.........and frying

im not so sure that trading sex appeal to get attention for animals is really the best thing. why do we always need to turn to celebrities to gain momentum as well. i would be more impressed if they dropped the nudity and aimed their attention towards real people, actual pet owners and people who would die for their pets! btw tommy lee has not pets! so what is he doing on a peta ad? just dont get it!

The image with Dita VonTeese is a hurtful image to me, because there is still sexism in higher education. This woman in this image is sexualized, and she is holding what looks like a children's book. Women in college and university are intelligent women, and they are not there to be sex objects. This image suggests the opposite. In fact, the image supports the sexist treatment of women who attend college/university.

Oh bother. It's Dita Von Teese. Sorry, but sexy teachers are sexy. Blame the Y chromosome.

Although I respect and support animal rights, PETA has become the professional wrestling of the movement. It only makes it more difficult for legitmate groups who are actually doing some good in the field to gain increased public support when all PETA apparently is concerned with is sensationalism. Contrary to a popular belief, not all publicity is good publicity. Taking an extreme stance is only going to polarize public opinion, not draw the rational majority into the cause. I really want to be a part of what PETA claims to stand for, but who wants to associate with a self-aggrandizing circus sideshow?

What if the Pork Council began airing ads that had hot women, or

Screaming hot porn stars... wrapped in bacon...

"Pork... The Other White Meat."

What would we hear then?

Then I would vote for the sexiest pork ads of all time.

But all the pork ads have are pigs.
