Newsweek:

Among the dozens of people arrested overnight in Tehran was NEWSWEEK reporter Maziar Bahari, who has covered Iran for the magazine for over a decade. Bahari was home asleep at 7 a.m. when several security officers showed up at his Tehran apartment. According to his mother, who lives with the 41-year-old reporter and documentary filmmaker, the men did not identify themselves. They seized Bahari's laptop and several videotapes. Assuring her that he would be their guest, they then left with Bahari. He has not been heard from since.

This is very bad.
This reporter has done his duties.
On freedom of Press point of view, this a signal for arresting individual profession.
I request Iranian authorities for release him and ask him not to write anything against her national interests.
I am a man of liberal views.
I am not supporting on any violent activities on any parts of the world.
There is a light at the end of a tunnel.

hate to see it happen, but he can't say he wasn't warned to get the heck out of the country. journalists are often "confused" as spies, so it can't suprise anybody if it comes out they are holding him for espionage.

The question is not whether his reports on Iran are "fair and balanced", but rather whether he followed the Iranian government's ordered curfew for foreign journalists. Did he violate that order? If so, he clearly broke the law and if not, he should be release.

He's considered a terrorist by the Regime, so they have every right to arrest him and hold him without charges, don't they? Oh right, that was the U.S. and every detainee they've 'arrested' and are holding with trial in sight. Too bad we don't have a moral leg to stand on since America has been doing the same thing...
