Obama News Conference: WATCH LIVE VIDEO

President Barack Obama will hold a news conference Tuesday, and is expected to open the afternoon event with remarks on health care reform, energy legislation and Iran's disputed elections.

Tuesday's midday news conference had been scheduled for the outdoor Rose Garden, but a White House spokesman said the location was changed to the press briefing room because of expected high temperatures.

Again, great job by the President. He needs to do these WEEKLY, preferably on Monday so he scare the fear of god into the Blue Dogs who want to please their big pharma donors.

Props to Nico, however he could have asked a better question, which could have and would have elicited a better answer. It was kinda of like thet "gotcha" question, which Nico should have known the Prez could not answer at this point.

All in all, in what I caught of his responses, Obama did a pretty good job. I agree with the way he is handling the Iranian situation. We are no longer the Neighborhood bullies... for now. Speak softly ( and eloquently ) and carry the big stick, Check. His comments about the Insurance companies was right on the money... He made the argument about driving insurance companies out of business look as silly as it is, which was great. However, he as president can say these things, but the "little" congress peeps and senators still have to bow down to the Lobbyists money.

Many of our problems stem sole from Campaign Finance Reform... if that is resolved, then we will make progress in passing meaningful legislation. Until then, we'll get watered-down, window-dressing that will help no one but the status quo.

Maybe they'll stop asking about his smoking after this press conference.
