Wimbledon Ball Girl Crash: Michael Llodra Runs Into Ball Girl During Point (VIDEO)

Sometimes tennis can be a contact sport. Today at Wimbledon Michael Llodra went all out to retrieve a short ball during his match against Tommy Haas, and while he got it back, he ended up running head on into a ball girl, crashing both of them into the umpire's chair and basically flattening her. Fortunately, the girl seemed to suffer no serious injuries, and Llodra pulled her to her feet and gave her a hug.

The ball girl was unhurt, but Michael Llodra wasn't.

He had to retire from the match due to injury.

if I were an athlete who made oodles of money by using my body, I would be careful moving at all after a collision. You can make a bad situation worse by moving before you know if or how badly you're injured. It comes across as really selfish (did you see how he uses her to prop himself up?) and it is, but I think that sometimes people have reasons to be selfish within reason.

Can't say if she was injured but Llodra did a pretty good job of not landing on top of her, That could've ended up real ugly.
