I Like ItI Don’t Like It

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has died at the age of 50. His fans are gathering around the country, indeed around the world, to mourn for him and celebrate his legacy as one of the greatest musicians and entertainers of all time.

One large crowd gathered in front of the Apollo Theater in NY, the place where Jackson was unveiled to the world four decades ago. One of the mourners was the Reverend Al Sharpton, who spoke about his relationship with Jackson and his hope that the King of Pop would be respected in death.

Check out his legions of fans gathering below. View a slideshow of his life in pictures here. Watch all his best music videos here.

RIP MJ...I can't believe he's gone..

I guess we'll never really know what happened to him in his final hours...I just hope the autopsy gives clarity and closure to the Jackson family..

Don't want to bring race into this but I believe the negative comments about Michael are coming from whites.

God Bless Michael Jackson and keep him safe in your light Lord.
The King of Pop music, transcended race creed color and nationalities.
His music touched our lives and positively influenced our souls.
You could listen to whole Michael Jackson albums with you entire family and everyone would be jamming and no one be offended.
When comparing artist, he was the prototype exemplified, consummate professional, amazing shows, and loving fans for a darn good reason.
Even though many ridiculed and tried to tear him down for being eccentric, no one can deny the indelible impression he has made on the lives men women and children across the globe.
God Bless
and Rest in Peace
Michael Jackson

No one can also deny the horrible things he did to children. God may forgive him, but de deserves little more.

A true talent who will be missed... And is it really his fault his pen is tasted like a yummy lollypop? What was he supposed to do, say no to the children?

Sad.

So, it's okay to rape children as long as you can dance and sing cheesy songs?

I didn't know... Sorry.

Interesting... anecdotally at least, including yr. photos, his death seems to have tapped into something in segments of the black community that seems to show that skin-lightening and nose job and all, he still was accepted in death as one of their own... kind of heartening...

michael was out in the white music world way before many blacks were accepted, actually he broke barriers where others could not, his support network was back home and he coped the best he could. He the scars form his surgeries are our scars as well, because he was a pioneer, he pressed forward alone, and survived in a cruel music world full of fake friends and too many people interested in one’s demise.
He outlasted and outshined to the point that he became a star among stars, it is allot of pressure,
do I wish he had not allowed the influence of other to change his face etc eETC, yes, do I understand how one could loose themselves a bit in all the melee, yes,
But I respect that he didn't care what other said and did what he felt was best,
Regardless of the naysayers.
Rest in Peace Michael

I danced with a parade of about 40 people down Hollywood Blvd. while someone blasted MJ on a boombox. Don't stop till you get enough, he says.
