I think it's funny that gambling restrictions have bothered the EU, while many of the European countries are increasingly banning foreign gambling websites in order to make more money. Here is an interesting article about how European government's bans on gambling websites has been completely self-serving: http://www.mindreign.com/en/mindshare/Global-Economics/Government-Hold-Em/sl35291137bp321cpp10pn1.html

You can tell that the tr0//s posting here haven't a clue... give the money to Nigeria... we control the Internet... enough EU gamblers to gouge.

Once again, the US has to show it has to be in control of everything... the only, ONLY reason we don't, like other civilized countries, allow online gambling, and tax it, is that the casino and horse racing lobby lines the pockets of our politicians. Plain & simple.

If you don't believe in gambling, that's nice, but don't try to impose your restrictive morals on others, like they did with Prop 8 in California.

Biggest issue is the fact that America has the LARGEST pool of uneducated dips willing to send $250 to Dr Mubutui, Assistant Oil Minister in Nigeria to get a "boxful of money" shipped to them . . . the thought of THAT massive market makes organized gambling tremble with GLEE!!!!!!!!

Yes, better to give it to the mob-connected casinos here. You haven't a clue.

We should be fair and outlaw it completely all over the United States. Alot of children lose their homes because parents are enticed to gamble . It is evil through and through. The churches should unite against it.

The U.S. needs to legalize all gambling. Why are horse race betting and stock market betting allowed and not regular gambling? It's the same thing with a different name.

... which would probably relieve a lot of the shortfalls in various states, like California.

Thank you EU. Please pursue this issue vigorously. I am not a gambler, but I enjoy playing poker and the convenience of online sites. The US Supreme Court has ruled that poker is a game of skill. Sadly, our country is full of hypocrites who love to offer smug homilies to the rest of the world about freedom and individual rights and then spend most of their time denying rights to their fellow citizens.

If you don't like to engage in these activities then don't, but keep your hypocritical moralizing out of my card room.

Let me put this as clearly as possible: The United States developed, built, and owns the Internet. If you don't like the way we administer it to protect the rights of our citizens, get off it. You need the Internet more than we need the World Trade Organization.

You donk. I have the right to play poker. You think your self-righteous morality is justification to deny my rights and THEN talk about protecting rights.

Yes, we own the Internet (which is not true, by the way... another misinformed 1d10t)... so let's control what the world can and cannot do on it... just like China.

Um... "protect the rights of our citizens". You are such a flaming hypocrite. People have the right to gamble with their own money online, just as they do in a casino or at the track. Your statement is absolutely pathetic.
