LOS ANGELES — A lawyer who represented Debbie Rowe in a custody matter says the mother of two of Michael Jackson's three children is inconsolable.

Attorney Iris Finsilver says she was the one who told Rowe of Jackson's death.

The attorney says she isn't currently representing Rowe, but has no doubt Rowe will seek custody of the children.

Finsilver says she doesn't know if Rowe has been having visits with the children, Prince Michael Joseph Jackson and Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson. Rowe and Jackson married in 1996 and divorced in 1999.

Finsilver says Rowe is trying to grasp the fact that Jackson has died. She says Rowe loved Jackson for a long time.

In a prepared statement released by Finsilver, Rowe calls Jackson "a beautiful and loving soul."

hmm.. MJ married Debbie Rowe so he'll have those kids as their legal fathe(regardless of bloodline). Debbie rowe agreed to this set-up for an exorbitant amount of money like several millions not to contest even before MJ married her.
she never played a role in their lives.let's just say-- she is glorified surrogate.

so why, all this hokum is beyond me. she already got the $$$'s from MJ. and she bought a lovely ranch from it's proceeds after livin at that cheap 1-bed apt in the Valley(remember, when Enquirer got pics inside?)

Listen up folks. This woman hasn't a chance in hell of gaining ANY of MJ's money unless he actually willed it to her.

First, she sold her kids to MJ, or "settled out of court", but she basically took the money to go away and not come back after their divorce, and she obliged.

Secondly, if Mike never legally adopted the other children, they have ZERO dollars coming to them unless they are named in the will. If Debbie Rowe thinks she's coming back for some money, she's got a hard wall to smack her in the face, because blood relatives get the estate FIRST, and she will get nothing because those kids were not his. Now this is only IF there is no will. The only way she gets one thin dime is that MJ provided for them in his will, AND a court tears them away from the rest of the Jackson family (who will fight, tooth and nail for them!) and gives them to her, with benefits. I doubt that happens though seeing as though she gave them up years ago and has not been a part of their life.

Finally, the nanny is supposedly the surrogate mother of the youngest child. Hopefully, MJ had a contract with her so she couldn't come back later trying to reclaim the kid. But SHE has been there with the youngest child since birth because she had him.

Stop the nonsensical speculating and calm down. She doesn't have a chance.

Has this woman seen her children or even Michael Jackson in recent years?! Do the kids know her?

I read that Michael wanted the long-time nanny to take the kids. That makes the most sense...give them to someone who really loves them. I think it would be a hideous mistake to hand them over to the Jackson family which is highly disfunctional. And Debbie Rowe--I don't know how much contact she's had with the kids. I hope and pray that some very wise judge will find the best solution here.
This is a case for Solomon!

She's the biomother of two of the kids, not all three.
Even if she does lay claim to 'her two', what happens to Blanket? His mother has been AWOL without a trace.
Would be a horrid tragedy if the nuclear family of the three children was split apart at a time like this- they need each other now more than ever!

Ms. Baby Factory basically SOLD her kids to MJ! Let those children stay with the Jackson Family. For one thing Joe and Katherine have been DIVORCED for years now- they dont live in the same home. And besides there are ALOT of Jackson grandkids- Rebe's, Jackie's Marlon's, Tito's, Randy's and Jermaine's children are all productive young adults who has NEVER been in the tabloids for dysfunctional behavior- all college educated- productive young people

I AGREE, this woman was never around and she basically sold her children. These children should remain with the family they KNOW and not be torn from their brother.

So if she gets enough $$$ they can call her 'mom'.

You're a stranger to them, woman!

It would be ridiculous to think Michael Jackson would want his children to be brought up in the same household with his "abusive father". Maybe Debbie Rowe would be a fit mother. She understood the complexity of Michael Jackson and trusted him with the children. It doesn't mean she doesn't have feelings for them. My question is who is the biological father of these children? Is it Mark Lester, Michael Jackson's dear friend, who is the godfather of some of these children? Being rich and high profile allows people to live their lives apart from the traditional ways, but, hopefully, the judge will be sophisticated and discerning enough to sort this out for the welfare of the children. There must be a will, as well.

The youngest one is his BIO child, not sure about the other TWO, but it's possible.

And you know, we don't know the dynamics of that relationship between Deb and MJ. No one knows what went on between them, what was said, decided upon, we don't know. I am not passing any judgement here.

I agree with all the posters who see the GREED spewing out of all these 'relatives' and 'surrogates.' This was Jackson's world and hopefully he could see it coming, but I wonder. At his age one doesn't really think of one's demise. We'll see, meanwhile the lawyers in LA will be grabbing all they can get.

Not done yet.

What is this garbage CNN is spinning? MSNBC, too, I think. Do these people really believe Michael Jackson didn't have a will? You have got to be kidding. This man was a sharp human being, and to suggest as much, undermines his incredible intelligence and savvy as a parent. He knew he was valuable. He knew what he had produced. How he had influenced the movement of music. What makes people think this man would not have a will? I don't get it.

How in the world did Michael Jackson select this woman to bear his children? What was he trying to do? Was he maybe looking for solid stock to reproduce? A decision based on traits he considered favorable for reproduction? You know, some people think that way. One guy I knew was looking for a woman of certain proportions and dimensions. Had to be tall and slim. Wanted to mix his genes with good stock. Anyway, this choice on his part always puzzled me, because I never got the impression that he loved her. It seemed more like a business arrangement.

And she doesn't seem like the kind of person who would raise those children the way he did. She will never be able to replace or substitute that experience for them. And they may not even want to live with her. The courts always say that they work in the best interests of the children, and take the feelings of the children into consideration, but I know from personal experience that is not true. It's all about money, social acceptability (I was surprised he had sole custody) and the appearance of stability.

All too often the courts simply play lip service to the phrase, "in the best interest of the children," and make decisions without really taking their needs into consideration. It's a familiar battle. And, ultimately it has less to do with justice and more to do with political and economic advantage.

I hope they listen to the children.
