Michael Jackson

It should have been the opportunity of a lifetime for a Michael Jackson fan: a behind-the-scenes invitation to a rehearsal for the superstar's upcoming concert tour in the United Kingdom.

But when the fan got to the stage, she was horrified. "He is a skeleton," she wrote Monday in an email to other Jackson fans. Worse, she said, was seeing her idol surrounded by people she deemed too frightened to say anything. "I have to say: He may die."

Leave Michael alone.

MJ wasn't just average. This was a very gifted, child prodigy who became a very successful entertainer with his gifts. Today his music is played internationally, his videos watched like movies and his dance moves were something perfected and mesmerizing. I look at his work and he was like no other in the business. There's no other child prodigy or adult like him either.

I watched Larry King and Usher & Liza Minnelli didn't want Deepak to discuss MJ's drug use. Why? We can celebrate the wonderful musician MJ was plus learn of the demons he carried. The public and up and coming celebs need to know what happened to him so they can avoid it. Deepak is right. There's needs to finally be an investigation in L.A. of the hangers on physicians to celebs who will supply their every medication need. The medical board of the state of CA needs to get involved.

It is a tragedy that successful entertainers with MJ's talent die young. Too many have died at their own hands. Is there another way to deal with success besides snorting, injecting, popping or polypharmacy? This could've been Whitney Houton too.

Deepak Chopra said some interesting things. He was a friend of Jackson's, but as a dr. Jackson hit him up for an rx for opiates.

He told him the stuff would kill him eventually. It always does. After a while you run out of injection sites, too.

Just like with Elvis, you can only abuse your body so long til it gies up on you. I guess the family is having trouble accepting this since they want yet another autopsy.

As for San Olivos, anyone who can afford to live there I don't have a lot of sympathy for. And I doubt the whole city is in mourning, stuff...... unless they don't have any sort of real lives.

This is all a big shame, of course, but apparently a very long time in the making. And pretty typical of "rock stars," alas.

His music was simply Average. Look at a bell curve someday. The greatest number of items will be near the average.

6 billion people on the planet, 5.9 billion will be smack in the middle. Average.

The reason his music appealed to so many, was (is) Average. So, if you like his music, it is very likely you are simply average. as well as the music.

Average? I'd partially agree except for that one brief period, at about the time of his moonwalk introduction, when he was glowing near perfection. His voice, choreography, creativity and body fused to a level few achieve.
It wasn't his voice, or any one thing you can separate out, as they were average.
He captured a few moments in time. Because he was a dancer his music lent itself to dancing which is why so many of his songs show up in dance shows, many that never became well known.

Selling 750+ MILLION albums/cds is NOT average bubba. Controlling one's voice, harmonizing and dancing with rhythm at 5 yrs old is not average. There's no bell curve here.

he was bigger internationally than here. i almost got into thriller... i definitely got into motown 25. i taped it and forced my parents to watch it. i especially remember barry gordie throwing up his hands as if to say, "thanks but although i made you rich - i am broke." it was a gamble for gordie. i am grateful for his gamble. it stands for all time. i never got into the michael jackson change in micro pigment that made him albino. many trash newspapers of the day said with his money and fame he found a tanning booth that radiated away his blackness. i want one that will make me tan without cancer. too late it's called the SUN. and cancer will kill a great deal of us all.

"You Are Not Alone"

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

But you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
But you are not alone

Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers
Your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand
Then forever can begin

*
*
I love you Michael, no one will ever surpass your greatness of talent EVER!!!!!

For you are not alone...

Just another human being with talent that went cuckoo and died in debt. As much as I found enjoyment in his music at certain points in my life, my parents and teachers will always stomp him for memorable people in my life. Sorry MJ worshipers.

But he was so very talented. We need to find another way for people to handle success. Drugs are not it. The drugs don't diminish or take away his gift though. That was MJ's choice to use but he left a legacy of music behind.

If anyone out there believed Jackson could have pulled off the British 50 concert gig, well, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya.

And there was denial from people around him about that in previous weeks that he was too weak to do it.

Perhaps the physician that was injecting the daily shot of synthethic demerol got a hold of a batch from China that was tainted?

If MJ was getting a daily shot of the same stuff, why would it suddenly kill him? Why would the MD make a dosage mistake? Unless, of course, MJ needed more and more to get the same effect, but the dosage was a killer dosage? Still, you would have thought the MD, if he'd been treating MJ for 3 years, would have known what he was doing.

Was there a legitimate reason MJ was getting a daily shot? Or was it enabling?

There is no large talent that does not truly require
a reliable unshakeable individual who has the
credibility and courage to say "No. I am not going
to give you that. I am taking you to the best care
there is now." whether this risks his/her cushy job or no.
How many might have been spared the consequences
of playing chicken in the land of unreality had there been
selfless people who had the best interests of these individuals
at heart?

I just saw the guy from the Daily Beast interviewed by Chris Mathews and he said that when Jackson lived in the middle east isolated from the world, he was a "court jester' because he was paid to perfrom at private paries for these wealthy sheiks and he's right. Really pathetic.

Deepak spoke the truth about MJ. All those doctors in LA paid off to give him dr*u*gs!!! Enablers who received pay checks to tell him yes daily. He became a victim of his own success. He's resting finally.

I don't how Michael Jackson had time to rehearse for his European tour or create Neverland,
or spend so much time with the children he loved so much when everyone in the world is
claiming to be such a good and loyal friend. Since it takes a lot of time to form a single friendship,
forming these dozens must have really been time-consuming. Unless, of course, everyone is
exaggerating how much they loved Michael and vice versa and how much quality time they
spent together. For a shy person, it would seem he has the busiest social life of anyone in show
business.

these people are just making up their human interests stories for media attention - even that doctor chopak - as a doctor why did he not report the abuse to the authorities - how do you rehearse and remember dance steps and such if you're all drugged up - that don't make sense either - the media is being totally outrageous with their negativity and cruel speculations - and just like zoomies the public repeats that aweful stuff -

While it does take time to form a friendship, once the friendship has become a long and enduring one then each person in that friendship gives to it as time allows and that time has an ebb and flow characteristic to it. The friendships he shared were formed over a period of many years.
I have several very good and real friends but we don't have a need to contact each other daily, weekly or sometimes even monthly. We know we are there for each other and when we do have contact, the time that has passed seems to disappear.
Jobs, children, activities of life seem to take a lot of time but true friendship endures despite the quantity of time - they thrive on the quality of time spent.
